The staff are friendly and there's even a place where you can get some water for free because the sugar is getting a bit too much. “This is the coolest and most chilled spot in Stockport. You can kick back with a naughty coffee or hit-and-run with a power smoothie. The cake is fresh and delicious also. It’s the perfect meeting spot and a good place to crack on with some remote working. In regards to the tattooing, Jordan’s attention to detail when designing and stabbing tattoos is amazing. I’m a repeat customer and will be returning to Jordan again soon. He is friendly and approachable; his communication before the work, and the aftercare he provides is reassuring. He takes into consideration what the client wants and works hard to put the vision into a design. His needle-work is intricate and, in my experience, flawless. Jay is lovely too, and his work is brilliant. I am excited to see what Inner Vision Collective becomes and wish the lads all the best with the project.”

“I popped into Sykes for the first time today and had a lovely breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. The coffee was delish! The welcome was genuine and service friendly, as always from Mancunians. A great place to grab a quality bite to eat, recommended.”

“Couldn’t recommend the place enough; been meaning to visit since it opened but only just got round to it and I can’t wait to go back. Cycled over, so made use of the plentiful bike racks. Really loved the outdoor area, but sat inside and ordered coffees and breakfast. Service was friendly, coffee and food was all grand; especially the rhubarb and yoghurt granola bowl. Breakfast muffin was tasty too. Looks like a great place for food, events, drinks, etc. My kids had a nice time and I bet on sunny days that outdoor must be hammered. Will be back soon I hope”

“Great venue for stand up comedy, not so big that you lose the feeling of being part of the show. Good slope on the seating so the view from further back is still ok. Comfy seats, easy to get in and out, lots of parking nearby.”

“The BEST venue! The heart of any establishment is it's staff. This is what makes The Spinning Top, not only special, but an incredible place to be. Mike, the landlord, is the kindest, and funniest guy you will ever meet. Our band (For The Hornets) travelled a round trip of around 9 hours to play here, and we were treated like royalty by all of the staff. It rubs off on all of the customers too, as complete outsiders we were made to feel like family. The Bar: Extremely well stocked, with a huge range of craft beers, wines, and mainsteam lagers. My draft Peroni was ice clod and in a Peroni glass - they take pride in what they do. The whole place was spotless, including the loo's. Playing as a band: As I mentioned we were treated like kings. We borrowed the house equipment (a god send for a travelling band) and it was all fantastic. Mike done the sound better than most professional sound engineers that we meet. Epilogue: The following day I had a panic attack that I'd left some vital grear at the venue, and woke Mike up at silly 'o' clock in blind panic. He was calm and extremely helpful. I'm so grateful for this. My was head slightly sore from over-indulgence.... but my abs sore from laughing all night. Absolutely incredible venue. Best in Stockport and Manchester. Would travel a long way out of my way to visit here again. 11/10.”

“We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”
