“The food was beautiful! Really really good. We sat downstairs as there were lots of tables reserved (I'd recommend booking a table if you can) especially if you are visiting on a weekend. “This place is amazing. Atmosphere is cultured and the outside area is the best in the summer, but also fantastic in the colder months. We ordered the Grande Plater but unfortunately it arrived with no sardines or cheese…”

“Open for 2months, were went for the first time and everyone loved it. We were quick to be seated, staff very helpful and courteous. Enjoyed the meal, the settings are very plush and modern. Will be back with bigger family. Mixed started flavours were spots on, the Sanah special burger was tasty and the naan were some of the best around. Bit pricey but you certainly worth it.”

I did not attend but Google assumed that I had and listed my review for the Gait inn at Millington I'm error. So this is to correct it. No fault of the Gate which I will attend next time I am in their location. I'm sure it's fine but I only post about my experience not Google errors.”

“Had a fantastic lunch here just now. Booked online and had to delay an hour which they were fine about. Had fantastic service and the food was great. I had the rump steak and garlic butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly medium just how I asked and that sauce was delicious. Thanks very much!”

“Great local pub with friendly staff and good prices on beer. Just beware of ordering spirits as they can end up being very expensive for a double. Sunday dinner is really cheap and cheerful at less than 7 quid for a HUGE plate of food that even a fat guy like me can never finish. Saturday night atmosphere is great with karaoke.”

“Had a lunch out with oir eldely parents this lunchtime, we travelled over from Huddersfield. The service and food was very nice and the my partner highly recommends the Lees bitter. “Beautiful food, my partner had a stack I went for surf and turf... Very nice.... They was a little under staffed due to ill staff,,, it was a Friday night! The young lady that seated us made us welcome and explained their situation...... We only waited 15 to order food was their in ample time and cooked to perfection...... Worthy of a visit if your in the area.”

“Been to all the different peri peri places, but this one is still the best. Don’t believe the negative reviews. 99% of the time the food is top notch. We come from Batley regularly, which is 40 minutes away, like many of our other compadres. The food is spicy, so don’t complain that you can’t taste anything else but spice. Genuine review with genuine picture to offset the bad reviews left by people. Been coming here for approx 18 years, but we do love hot food.”
