Great service in Marple

“We decided to try here after moving to the area. It will be our go to from now on! I absolutely love Chinese food and I can say this is the freshest, tastiest and best prices I have come across in years! The owners are so nice and huge compliments to the chef! Please don’t go anywhere else but here.”

“11 of us visited on the 20/06/25 for a birthday meal. I hadn't eaten from the Spice Tower for over 6 years when it was under previous management following a poor takeaway. WOW it has changed. I had a takeaway a few weeks ago to test it out before booking for my stepsons birthday meal out and loved it. The family attended for said birthday last night and everybody agreed that the food was delicious and the service great. I personally had the tamarind prawns to start and the chum chum mix for main and couldn't fault it. Great value for money to. I think I've found a new favourite.”

“Flic decided to have a day out in Marple. We started at this lovely Robinson's pub next to Rose Hill station. I am pretty sure I have been here a few times many years ago. Large open plan and plush interior with TV's and an outside terrace, also with a TV. Stairs down to a small beer garden beside a large car park. Three of four handpumps in use on my visit. Went for a seasonal Pale Ale, AMO 4.4%. Really refreshing.”

“Everybody loves a good Chinese take away. With a few Chinese restaurants offered in the area, I can say that this is by far the BEST within a 3 mile radius! Wether you are travelling to pick up, or even waiting over an hour for delivery, it is definitely worth the wait. We ordered sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, Prawn toast, sticky beef, ribs and veg spring rolls... all were absolutely bloody delicious. I don't usually like Prawn toast, but woah, those were so *input curse word here for emphasis* good! The crunch, the taste & the sweet and sour sauce to complement were *chef kiss*. My favourite though was the sweet and sour pork. Gosh. I can't even explain it. Over the years I've had sweet and sour pork from so many places, but that.... that was absolute heaven in a box. The pricing for the dishes weren't extortionate at all. It's what you'll expect to pay for a takeaway... we had left overs and still tasted delicious heated up. We will definitely be returning. 100/10 will recommend as this place was recommended to us.”

“I needed to have a possible verruca looked at and was recommended Michelle's practice in Romiley. She explained that what I had was a 'seed' corn which she promptly removed (painlessly!) and at the same time filed my nails beautifully and removed my hard skin. What I didn't expect was her being able to remove the horrid yellowy staining on my big toe nails (from leaving nail varnish on too long)....I can now confidently wear my sandals!! I found Michelle to be very easy and accommodating. I didn't need to wait long, but noticed that the chairs in the waiting room were comfortable (I have a bad back) and there were plenty of nice magazines. Will definitely be back.”

“We have recently returned from a trip to Disneyland Paris followed by a few days in Paris that Lisa booked for us. We originally booked for early June but unfortunately our daughter came down with chicken pox 3 days before so we had to cancel, Lisa was amazing and cancelled it all for us preparing the documents for the insurance company which helped massively, taking a huge stress away from a very stressful situation. When we were ready to rebook a couple of weeks later Lisa sourced the perfect hotels and flights for us. We had the best holiday making lots of wonderful memories with our children. Thanks so much Lisa for planning such a wonderful holiday for us, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lisa to anyone and will 100% always use Lisa for future holidays.”

“Bowden House provides a wonderful setting for your child to thrive. Having had my older son at another local and reputable nursery and from talking to friends, I can honestly say it sits head and shoulders above the rest. Not only is the setting small and intimate, the staff are friendly to children and parents alike. My little boy had a special relationship with his key worker Ruby, who was always so bubbly and positive with him. Although he only attended two days a week would talk about her a lot and was always excited to go to nursery. The nursery keeps parents well informed of activities for the week ahead (always varied, creative and educational) and provide regular updates on your child’s progress. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking in the locality.”
