“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. “Wonderful soundproofing for a city location. Didn't hear traffic, banging doors or anything during the night. Very comfy bed, powerful shower, clean and useful facilities. Also lovely friendly lady on reception. Late checkout brilliant too. The beefeater attached to it is great as well. We arrived very tired from long journey and took advantage of the special offer for dinner and breakfast. Food was delicious, portions good and Holly our waitress was brilliant.”

“Took my Rotweiler a few times, it's nice to go in a pub with a big dog and people don't look down on him. The staff give him treats and come and stroke him, always a filled water bowl. Great food & they do dog Sunday dinners which go down a treat for £2.50 & a lovely normal roast dinner too. The food menu has a lot of variety. Brilliant view of the canal from the carpark. We love it here”

“From start to finish it was a lovely experience. The phone call was a breeze order fully taken and read back to make sure everything was on. It’s cash only and so it should be as cash is king. The interior is amazing all open plan you can see all of the kitchen and quite rightly has earned a 5 star food hygiene rating. The food all packed in re usable plastic boxes which come in real handy. The food quality and quantity was absolutely superb it was quite poss the best Chinese food I’ve tasted so overall 10/10 we all loved it oh and I got a complimentary bottle of Pepsi which went down a treat with my lads. Friendly staff is also a massive plus point.”

“I booked a dome for afternoon tea for partners birthday. Food was delicious. I had the vegan option which was really well thought out rather than just dupes of the classic. We were served by Angel who was very polite, professional and helpful. Angel went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and extra as its been such a hot day.
