“Well this was my first experience here, it was recommended by a friend to take my children and experience delicious grilled food. I have the most pickiest of children that you can image but boy did the food here amaze them and have them licking their fingers! The service was second to none, the staff was warm and friendly and really made the kids feel welcome and safe. The starters, right through to the mains were beautifully presented and full of flavour, moist and juicy to the very last bite. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to sit down with friends and family and enjoy a meal that will leave an impression. Definitely worth the drive up north! I think this will be a firm family staple.”

“Nice space, very generous helpings and a sugar rush that will smack you in the face with awesome. The staff are friendly and there's even a place where you can get some water for free because the sugar is getting a bit too much. Definitely a place for dessert loving folk - there's a lot of choice and everything looked awesome. My photo is of a cookie dough dessert.”

Becky was so caring and tried to adapt everything to his usual routine and had a great understanding of his likes and dislikes. The key worker system worked brilliant. “I ate here last night with my two children and it was amazing. The food was delicious, fresh, came out quickly, and looked fantastic. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was lovely and clean. It was my 8-year-old's birthday and the staff made him feel so special. They brought out his cake with a sparkling candle and happy birthday music playing. He loved it!”

“Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and would absolutely recommend. Both the waitress and chef were really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered the Omelette with chips which was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was served hot and tasted great. Portion sizes were quite big and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere inside the place was really nice too. There's indoor and outdoor seating available plus a customer toilet. My only critique would be that the canned and bottled drinks are not refrigerated and I think they should change this. Would be nice if they made a kids menu too”

“We went for brunch and both had the bacon on sourdough ciabatta with black pudding and one with a fried egg. They were much larger than expected (no complaint there!), perfectly cooked and delicious. Allergens were checked for on ordering. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. Loved the style and atmosphere, looking forward to going again. Oh and the coffee was fab!”

“I must have driven past this place a thousand times, and had never considered sitting down to eat, as it looks nothing much from outside, but then I was invited for lunch here. “I popped into Pizza Magic in Stockport to grab some pizzas for the family as I was visiting the area. The owner is so friendly and the pizzas are so tasty. He has a 5 star food hygiene rating (the shop was very tidy and well presented) and the food is epic! I will definitely go out of my way to go back. Keep up the great work.”

“Brilliant renovation from the former Damson restaurant. The corn-fed chicken with the addition of chicken gravy - very tastey! The baked ham, white sauce pizza was perfect, all washed down with a selection of craft beer. Received amazing service from Sienna! Will be back!”

“We used this venue as a campervan stopover. Which was mostly OK. When we arrived to pitch up the parking area was pretty well at capacity due to a Bowls match, tis cleared after about 2 hours or so and we were able to pitch up. As this was free we decided to meet with my sister and partner and my son. The 5 of us had a pleasant meal in the pub which we enjoyed. I would suggest that the proprietors consider putting an outside drinking water tap and marked bins for waste recycling. I have no doubt that we shall be visiting again.”
