“Visited today, with my friend and my toddler. They didn’t have many options for kids but that’s fine as my son was more interested in a sausage roll from the bakery. The food me and my friend had though was absolutely delicious, really well made. The coffee was really good quality too, a really well made cup of coffee not burnt or too hot.”

The pub is clean and warm and appears to have been recently modernised. “My first visit in many years despite visiting the Castle pub opposite fairly often. A lovely two room pub with booth seating in the front bar area and a traditional back room. They had two JW Lees real ales on sale but Albrecht treated me to a pint of Guinness. Very good. He had San Miguel.”
