“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. “Had a few roasts in the old venue which were stunning Been few times at the old cock and Sundays roasts fab too - I do miss the lamb shanks on the menu but enjoy the other meats we had Have to say the cheesecakes are the best I’ve eaten absolutely gorgeous Would also like to comment the young girl running the floor ( maybe the chefs daughter ) so lovely with a gentle caring and kind approach that always tries to make your experience as positive as possible Only negative be the venue seems so cold :)”

“Took my Rotweiler a few times, it's nice to go in a pub with a big dog and people don't look down on him. The staff give him treats and come and stroke him, always a filled water bowl. Great food & they do dog Sunday dinners which go down a treat for £2.50 & a lovely normal roast dinner too. The food menu has a lot of variety. Brilliant view of the canal from the carpark. We love it here”
