“Wythenshawe Park and Gardens is one of the best green spaces in South Manchester, offering a mix of open fields, formal gardens, woodland walks, and family-friendly facilities. The park is well kept, with plenty of benches, flat paths for walking or cycling, and a relaxed atmosphere. I was a nervous female having to do the dreaded garage trip but Scott is amazing, really helpful and knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble and his knowledge and explaining everything and fixing my vehicle speedily keeping me updated helped massively! “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care I received today at the Nightingale Centre. After being referred by my GP due to a lump in my breast, I arrived feeling very anxious and worried. However, the entire team made me feel at ease with their human and compassionate approach. Special thanks to the nurses and mammographers who attended to me. Joffi, in particular, was incredibly professional, caring, and empathetic. Her hug truly saved me in a moment of fear. Another mammographer, whose name I believe is Aoidin, also stood out for her delicate, kind, and respectful handling. Both were amazing and made such a difference to my experience. I would also like to thank a nurse (possibly named Marie) and the radiologist/sonographer for their wonderful care and professionalism. The kindness, humanity, and expertise of the team turned a stressful situation into one where I felt supported and reassured. Thank you all for the incredible work you do.”

“What an amazing B&B. Sharon and Dave were simply wonderful hosts, with my family descending on them for the weekend for a nearby wedding. The beautiful flowers on the door were a good omen that we were in safe hands. The decor in the cottage was lovely and the whole place was well maintained. Sharon did a great job providing breakfast for all of us and they made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely break from urban life, would definitely recommend to others and I'd happily stay there again!”

“This is a fantastic rehabilitation centre! It has everything you need all under one roof for every part of your rehabilitation and onwards. It is fully accessible for all disabilities. I can't rate this place highly enough for everything they do. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and supportive. It has a WRVS cafe which is open until 2pm each day. Free Wifi Offer transport services for appointments. Which you do need to book in advance. This centre offers: Specialist Rehabilitation Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Prosthetists, Orthotists Postual Care Specialists and Counselling. Physiotherapy Gym, Wheelchair services, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics & Orthotics - casting and fitting rooms for both children and adults, Rehabilitation Counselling. The Manchester Prosthetic User Association and Manchester Wheelchair User Group are based here to offer Peer to Peer support to the centre's users. It also has a great resource area with lots of information and event details from numerous charities - Wheel Power, Limbless Association, Limb Power, Blesma, Reach, MacMillan Cancer Support, ManFit, Age UK, LimbCare and many more. The Ability Matters Store is here too, which stocks disability aids and equipment. The lovely staff can help you find exactly what you need to make your daily routine easier. “17th March 2025. Had a desperate need to use the facilities at Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre at Wythenshawe. Had a very warm welcome, from Michaela, Danielle and Sally. They explained to me about the centre and the services they offer and I was quite impressed. I could see they were working there hoping to make a difference, and I could see it was working.
