“We booked the Daisyfield for a Confirmation party. They offered a cold buffet and a choice of hot pies. We choose a mixture of both and were very impressed with the high quality, portion sizes and value for money. The children had an absolute ball playing in garden to the rear. There were chickens and rabbits for them to see plus some play equipment. As it was Easter Sunday there was also a DJ and Easter egg hunt. All in all we were made to feel very welcome and great atmosphere. Good time was had by all. Thank you.”

“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. “Had a couple of beers here on a Friday evening. The guest beer was in great condition and the bar staff were really friendly. Plenty of parking next to the pub. Sports were being shown on multiple screens. Would recommend and visit again.”

“Did not stay, But if rooms are if similar standard to food and drink, they must be good. We had a tremendous lunch for 6. Always excellent,will be going back. I forgot my fleece and grey put it to one side and it was there early evening when I went back, thanks!”

“A spur of the moment decision on a Sunday late Sunday afternoon. A Walk in without a reservation late on Sunday afternoon, the pub was relatively busy and there was a small queue of people waiting to be seated. Whilst guest were being seated, the lady behind the bar could see that we were waiting. She stopped what she was doing, she greeted us with a cherry hello, and confirmed if we had a reservation which we haven’t. She said it was no bother had a table available And it will only take two ticks to wipe down and set up. We both went for the Sunday lunch one roast beef one roast lamb the meals came to the table within 20 minutes and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in years we finished off With one cheesecake and two spoons. The staff here at the Horton were most definitely on their a game when we visited on Sunday. Polite professional and welcoming. We will most definitely be returning to the Horton Arms.”

“Had a few roasts in the old venue which were stunning Been few times at the old cock and Sundays roasts fab too - I do miss the lamb shanks on the menu but enjoy the other meats we had Have to say the cheesecakes are the best I’ve eaten absolutely gorgeous Would also like to comment the young girl running the floor ( maybe the chefs daughter ) so lovely with a gentle caring and kind approach that always tries to make your experience as positive as possible Only negative be the venue seems so cold :)”

“What a welcoming pub. A group of us visited after the Oldham vs Woking game on Tuesday night. We were away fans, but made to feel at home straight away! Christine & Jess looked after us so well and we were even bought a round of drinks from one of the locals. We will definitely recommend The Rifle Range and be sure to visit for longer next time. “Beautiful food, my partner had a stack I went for surf and turf... Very nice.... They was a little under staffed due to ill staff,,, it was a Friday night! The young lady that seated us made us welcome and explained their situation...... We only waited 15 to order food was their in ample time and cooked to perfection...... Worthy of a visit if your in the area.”

“Didn't eat it there, but bartenders was really kind in the morning. I just waiting my check-in to the hostel next door. Nice espresso, real Italian coffee machine. Perfect place to start exploring Manchester, best time to visit 8-11PM on Friday. IPA, cider is ok. It was live music on Thursday.”
