“As a family tradition we go out for breakfast on the morning of a holiday. We tried this cafe as the reviews were very positive and my wife had heard about it through a work colleague. The staff were very welcoming. There were a few regulars in who made the place seem very community focussed, more friends than customers. The food was really good freshly prepped after we ordered. When I mentioned where we going on holiday the lady who served us explained she was from that same area originally and advised us of things to look out for. Can't fault it. We will visit again definitely.”

“We had our son's 11th birthday party here recently, and it was a great experience - it's such good value, especially the bowling time, the arcade games and the food is lovely. Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!”

“Second time having Afternoon Tea here and still great. The staff are amazing. They are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The Afternoon Tea for 2 is tasty and fresh. We also ordered scrambled eggs on toast for our 8month old. He enjoyed it, as did I. It's the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. Came out hot, too, which was even better. Would 100% recommend without a doubt.”

“We did the saturday bottomless brunch. The chicken skewers starter was gorgeous and the prawn linguine was delicious. Really good value for the money, Amy and Connor were lovely and always made sure our glasses were full! Lovely atmosphere and setting, would recommend to anyone.”

“Visiting Stockport for the day and saw this place did vegan pizza, so thought we would give it a try. They have an amazing offer for a 12" pizza for 6.95, either vegan pepperoni or veggie. We chose the veggie (violife cheese) and it was lovely. The best vegan pizza we have had. Lovely thin and crispy base! The cheesy garlic bread 5.95 was also beautifully cooked and very tasty! If you are vegan stop by, you won't be disappointed. A lovely, fresh, hot lunch for 14.95 (pizza, garlic bread and a can of san pelligrino). Thank you Fireaway!”

“Our second visit and again, an absolutely fantastic evening! Superb food, all 3 courses were fantastic just like last time. The house red is brilliant too! The pasta and pizza were great and the ricotta cheesecake was to die for! So so good! Outdoor dinning was lovely in the courtyard. Already looking forward to going back again soon! Highly recommend, gluten free and vegan options available. Perfect for couples and families. It’s an absolute little gem!”

“Poynton tea rooms catering did a lovely buffet for my mum’s wake. Everything was taken care of with a fantastic variety of menus to choose from. Everything was well appreciated particularly the chicken skewers, chocolate cake and scones with cream and jam. The vegetarian platters were very well received and appreciated. “Came for breakfast on a Saturday. No wait to order and good came in about 5 minutes ago. Great choice on the menu, we had the smashed avocado with egg and Reuben toastie. The beef was super peppery, great quality of ingredients. A lovely little gem right by the station!”

“The food was great, Borek for starters very nice and the POLLO REINA for main. The chicken was so tender with a smokey grilled taste under the creamy garlic white wine sauce. Even the peppers within the sauce were so tasty. My partner and I were so extremely blessed that they let us have the top floor to ourselves, which really made our night. Thanks to the owner and staff who let us be seated without booking. I will definitely recommend this restaurant, and I will definitely be back. Thank you, Casa de Casa. X”

“Ordered food on App and it was ready and waiting for collection when we arrived. Food was excellent and portions large at reasonable price. Staff very friendly and shop was busy showing how popular it is. Car parking to the side which helped Couldn't fault any of it Will be our first choice chippy now!!”

The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was lovely and clean. It was my 8-year-old's birthday and the staff made him feel so special. “My friend and I took our 6 year old daughters to the Funky Monkey Christmas party yesterday and what an absolute blast we had! There were fun games and prizes for the kids, plenty of choice from the menu for the kids to choose from and they even got to meet Santa and get a special gift! Our girls absolutely loved their time, and us mums and dads had so much fun too. We even won a prize as adults and can’t wait to have our beautiful Christmas cupcakes!! The staff are wonderful here, and you’re literally made to feel part of the Funky Monkey family from the moment you step in the door! Our food was delicious - we would particularly rate the latte and the banana and toffee muffin and I am looking forward to coming back to try even more from the menu. Thank you so so much to the team for hosting such a fun event last night, you could tell a lot of heart and hard work went into this and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We really hope you’ll host this again next year and in the meantime we will definitely be back for more tea, coffee and treats! Merry Christmas to you all!”
