I was a nervous female having to do the dreaded garage trip but Scott is amazing, really helpful and knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble and his knowledge and explaining everything and fixing my vehicle speedily keeping me updated helped massively! “Absolute gem of a place. Stumbled across it whilst looking for some chips for my son after visiting the nearby park. The place was really cosy and staff very friendly. I can't believe how cheap the prices are. Portion size was huge. Food was fresh, tasty and hot. Had a lovely fireplace and toys for children to play with. I ordered for takeout but you can dine in.”

“What an amazing B&B. Sharon and Dave were simply wonderful hosts, with my family descending on them for the weekend for a nearby wedding. The beautiful flowers on the door were a good omen that we were in safe hands. The decor in the cottage was lovely and the whole place was well maintained. Sharon did a great job providing breakfast for all of us and they made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely break from urban life, would definitely recommend to others and I'd happily stay there again!”

“Paintpots is an amazing nursery. My little boy has settled in well and has flourished due to their care and attention that they provide daily. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I receive a report at each term end with my little boys progress and a daily report on the app to highlight the daily activities and foods that he has eaten. On pick up I get a run down verbally of how he has been, which is very reassuring that they are looking after him and monitoring him all the time. I would highly recommend paint pots nursery. I understand how important it is to place your child at the right nursery and feel confident that they are being looked after. I can't praise the pre school room members of staff enough, they are truly amazing!”

“Hadija looked after my grandchild Akbar, and I can honestly say she is absolutely amazing at what she does. She's a true professional—firm when needed but always fair, kind, and nurturing. The children in her care are happy, respectful, and truly thrive under her guidance. Each day is filled with a variety of fun and educational activities, giving the kids so many wonderful experiences. You can really feel the love and thought she puts into everything. A special thank you as well to Ngugi—our little boy absolutely adored him! You both made such a difference in his early years. Thank you for being part of this lovely journey. You're a beautiful family with such warm hearts. We’re so grateful—and we highly recommend you to anyone looking for exceptional care!”

“17th March 2025. Had a desperate need to use the facilities at Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre at Wythenshawe. Had a very warm welcome, from Michaela, Danielle and Sally. They explained to me about the centre and the services they offer and I was quite impressed. I could see they were working there hoping to make a difference, and I could see it was working. Worth a visit to see what is on offer, you will be very welcome. Keep up the good work girls x”

“One of the nicest Chinese around, the egg fried rice especially with little spring onion in it is the best I’ve ever tasted. The salt and pepper ribs are gorgeous, the curry is really distinctive too, it’s beautiful. How does this place not have more and better reviews, the quality of the Chinese food is so much better than anything around. Just such a shame you can’t have it delivered and it doesn’t open late.”

“A beautiful lake with plenty of ducks and geese. There were about 10 duckling and four baby moor hens. There's a flat accessible path ideal for wheelchairs and prams. There is a small park. There are no facilities or a car park.”
