Uk dining experience in Prestwich

“I came in with my granddaughter last week, and I must say, the food was exceptional! Upon walking into the establishment, it felt as if we were transported to New York. As a proud American, I must say I felt right at home! My granddaughter, on the other hand—who is very hard to impress—took her time, but by the time the food arrived, her demeanor had changed. We ordered the Benny's Burger, the schnitzel wrap, and the sweet potato chips. I have to mention that my granddaughter did not make the life of the young lady at the till easy. With the number of notes my granddaughter gave for her schnitzel wrap, I was sure she would be laughed at by our server. Instead, we were met with kind responses, smiles, and absolutely no issues. The food came out very quickly, and all three items we ordered were presented exquisitely! Every note was followed perfectly. The service was probably the best I have experienced in this otherwise abysmal country. I come to England at least twice a year from New York to visit my children and grandkids. I try to give each one time alone with me so I can give each the attention they deserve. My son had mentioned that there was a splendid restaurant I had to try; he has ordered Uber delivery from you a few times. I truly recommend the dine-in experience! I will definitely be returning the next time I come to visit the kids. (I do apologize, as I had intended to share the photographs that were taken. But sadly, only my granddaughter took photos—she has the better phone and therefore the better camera—and she seems to be taking her time sending them to me.)”

“Great big neon signs to attract your attention. We ordered online (no honestly we were on the tram back from Bury) and collected our order when we got off at Heaton Park. Friendly staff and everywhere is clean, theres a few stools in the waiting area. We ordered 2 burgers, chips, cheesy chips and onion rings. When we got home the burgers were wrapped in foil and then greeseproof paper so they were still hot and fresh. The sauce is a little too hot for us but still very nice, onion rings were crispy as were the chips.”

The pizzas are fantastic, especially the ones that use local ingredients (previously the thought of black pudding turned my stomach but thanks to the use of the local version here, I'm a convert!). “My family of 5 stayed there Friday to Saturday this week. The staff are amazing and so friendly I have 3 ASD children and the staff were lovely with them all. As we were checking in the lady gave each of them some cookies. The beds are so comfy and I'd paid for breakfast which can I say fantastic such choice which is perfect for my children as they can be hard to cater for. As we were about to leave the restaurant one of the male staff came over and gave my younger 2 a Terry's chocolate orange each. I would definitely stay there again and can't rate it highly.”

I had the ham/pineapple pizza, with the caramelised pineapple being a particular highlight. The truffle fries were also tasty. Worth a visit, a lovely addition to Prestwich.”

Found Golden Crown based on a friends recommendation and happy to say we’ve found our new favourite! Bit of a drive but well worth it. “I popped down to Moda for breakfast on Wednesday morning (their opening day) I had the steak and eggs with the healthy breakfast bowl and it was stunning both dishes were full of flavour and well cooked. Inside the decor is beautiful and calming with a great vibe. The staff are friendly, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I looked over the drinks menu and so much choice for everyone's taste. I can’t wait to go again.”
