“Absolutely amazing. Blowing away. You must visit”

“This is one of the most beautiful B&Bs we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Immaculately clean; top quality homemade cooking; gorgeous light and modern rooms with comfortable beds. The view of the Carlingford Lough and Slieve Martin from our balcony is just stunning! Like a fairytale storybook view and right on the doorstep of the famous enchanting trails of Kilbroney Park. The house itself is overlooking a beautiful manicured garden square surrounded by gorgeous Victorian style town houses. The private gardens of the B&B are just beautiful and exquisite, we enjoyed a lovely cappuccino and home cooked Irish breakfast in the sun trap of the conservatory (even in January!!), overlooking the boats floating on the Misty winter subbed Lough. The village of Rostrevor is like a mystical land of it’s own with traditional music in cosy pubs every night; gift shops; art boutiques; artists; writers; rich culture and heritage trails as well as festivals all year round. John and Anne are an absolute delight to spend time with. So friendly and feel like family! Anne is a deep spiritual soul; a local woman of many talents who has travelled the world with the famous Sands Folk Band and her work as a painter. John (originally from Dublin) with his background in journalism and as a historical tour guide entertained and delighted us with many interesting tales and anecdotes. We can’t recommend a stay at the Sands B&B enough and would now consider it a home away from home. 5 stars!! A gem of an escape away into a fairytale lane of old ✨”

“We had a great recent stay at Tanglewood loft. Mary is a great host, very welcoming and accommodating. Even had some milk and chocolate for the children! Gave recommendations on where to go to eat and where to take the children too. Very highly recommended!”

“Always great buzz about the Point in August. Festival time. Lots of little coffee shops. Beautiful walks to be had through park and along beach front.”

“We have stayed in quite a few of the further space pods now so knew exactly what to expect 're the accommodation, perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids as they have bunk beds in a separate room for the children. Well equipped for a very comfortable stay. The location for these particular pods is stunning, peaceful and with lovely views. The site is clean and the hosts were really lovely. Lots of walks without having to drive anywhere. We'll be back to this site for sure.”

“Shop itself is a generic toy shop, the staff allow children to play with items which I appreciate as means I can see what my daughter likes. The till layout is a bit strange but it's never been hugely busy when I have visited so no issues. As for the chain itself, I appreciate the free delivery for items over a certain price, the prices of things are very competitive and I've once had reason to contact customer support due to my own mistake with an order and found them very helpful.”

“Loved this place! Set next to a quaint harbour with the Mournes as a backdrop, very picturesque. This mill still has a working waterwheel and a guide who is informative and pleasant. Well worth a visit.”

“Best family run store in the country. Brilliant service in this spar. Can't fault it and the footfall proves this. The post office team are absolute stars. Patrice always really helpful no matter how busy she is. The deli is also top quality and the deli team are great.”

“This is our goto shop when we're staying nearby. As well as refueling the car it has a great shop with coffee machines, deli for fresh sandwiches and wraps, a great selection of local butcher Cunningham's products. They have a great selection of traybakes and all the essentials for your shopping needs.”

“The food here is delicious!!! The service on the other hand is not so good. I literally order the same order every Saturday night £59.59 for delivery. From last 4 orders we’ve had an item missing from 3 orders(like noodles, main dish, large sauce £2.60 or higher) we’ve had to go back down even if collected or if delivered. No offer of delivery refund or even a small commentary item for the inconvenience due having keep the food warm at home ( for like 30mins by time you unpack order, realise item missing, ring them(5min phone call) & drive down and wait on ur missing item) while driving to get our missing item which has been paid for through Just Eat. First time we passed no remarks but getting a bit sick of it now and when you phone you’ve to wait like 5 mins while they talk to chefs about who made what. And then there’s no offer to deliver it after paying the £4 delivery charge. Guys we love your food but really getting fed up of this now. There’s never a mistake of an extra item in the order always something missing. We love your food but every Saturday now is will they get our order right or not!!! Please do better we love your food x”

“Blackthorn recently made and installed my kitchen. Their knowledge, patience, craftsmanship and quality are all exceptional. Not a single millimeter of space wasted. I LOVE IT. The costs are very reasonable too. Please visit them and see their work - you will not be disappointed and it will be the best money you ever spend on your home. After such a great job, I have since gone back and they have made my husband a new home office table. It was delivered this morning and is where I am writing this review. I highly recommend them and will likely be using them again very soon.”
