“Called 111 for my wife; paramedics were here within 20 minutes staying with her for just over an hour before transporting her to A & E. They were totally professional and friendly which obviously helped with my wife who had been a nurse for 40 years. I needed it because although I keep myself fit and active I have had severe chest infections this year and last year causing hospital admissions but had to pay privately because the Government do not allow it for over 79 year olds although it is recommended in America for all over 75.
