“Having had concerns for some dark (what I thought were moles) on my back addressed by my GP I was told that they were Seborrheic Keratosis. The NHS considers these cosmetic so will not refer further treatment (apart from in exceptional circumstances). I was therefore left wondering what to do? I contacted Hayley at Eccleshall Dermatology Clinic and had a consult. She explained what my treatment options were with the Keratosis. That some of the large ones would need a local anaesthetic to numb the pain, before being fairly painlessly removed. In the end I had three sessions with Hayley and she removed most of the marks from my back (there were quite a lot). Some of them were a little sore to be removed, however she kept the pain down to a minimum - and more importantly kept me chatting so I was suitably distracted. She advised on ongoing treatment and how to keep the keratosis at bay, and also that they are associated with aging. A month later and I am pleased. There are minimal scars, my back is clearer and its given me renewed confidence to be able to do more fitness activities including swimming and running.”

The AI phone system can be a bit annoying, but today when I said it was an emergency and asked to speak to staff, it put me straight through to reception and I had an appointment within 30 minutes.
