“Perfect breakfast spot. The mega breakfast was only for £6!! The food came quick, the place was clean and the man who served me was absolutely hilarious. Honestly, he really made my day and wish more businesses in the community would act like that.”
“I visited Waffel Town & Café today with waffles on my mind – and I was not disappointed! I could choose exactly what I wanted on my waffle, and it turned out absolutely delicious. The fruits were fresh, and everything was perfectly prepared. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The café is centrally located, very clean, and offers both indoor seating and a few covered tables outside under an awning. The menu is quite extensive – a great spot not just for dessert, but also for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee break. Highly recommended!”
“Cafe was fantastic for a start and finish point on our walk. Great food and drink with lots of options on the menu and wonderful friendly service from a great guy - part of a family business. Would come again.”
“I'm addicted to the breakfast rolls , they are massive & full of bacon , egg, sausage , hash brown & mushrooms haven't tried the other food yet but I'm going to . Left the atmosphere stars empty because we have foid delivered & don't eat in the cafe itself .Delivery is really quick , so quick the last time my kettle had only just boiled for my cuppa to go with breakfast roll”

“Excellent breakfast and great value. Service is always fantastic”
“Have been to the hybrid café twice now with his and and son (10yrs old) on comedy night and music night. Great atmosphere and ambience. The café has vibes of art glalleywith lovely paintings, quirky tables and books available to read. Haven't tried the food but coffee and ice-cream are great. Paula has open a brilliant space for people to meet, discuss opinions, share some time around music and comedy. It's the only place in neath you can be out in the evening with your kids and have a good night without breaking the bank.”
“Called in for breakfast it was beautiful only downside you had to pay extra for a mug of tea would prefer tea to come with the breakfast all in for £7.50”
“Can't say a bad thing about this establishment. Have been coming here for many years and to this day I have not yet had anything to complain about. Food is of an excellent quality and the staff are amazing, nothing is ever to much trouble and you are always made to feel welcome.”
“Lovely place to have coffee and chat. Staff outstanding and friendly”
“Fantastic food and the staff are wonderful ☺️ people”
“Best breakfast I have ever had. They will cook it the way you like. Nothing is to much trouble. Very clean and tidy.”
“That has got to be one of the most nicest breakfasts I’ve had from a roadside independent cafe. Thank you.”
“I love both the gnoll and the gnoll cafe. It's a great place for all members of the family. The only fault of it is the parking costing too much so if you don't have the ability to wall miles then you have to pay a ridiculous cost for a parking ticket. Luckily, I can walk from where I live. But I have family members who can't. So it ends up being preferable to go somewhere where it is free to park. But for me personally, I enjoy the walking donit doesn't affect me so i have alot of enjoyment from the gnoll. Also, the outside eating area is perfect for the dog. Every time I go there I eat outside in all the weather and never get soaked, cold or even sunburned! I love the new shelter! To Neath Port Talbot Council, well done on adding the outside area. But please re think parking charges and bring back the scooters! This will enable more members of the public to enjoy it.”
“Very pleasant and helpful staff.”
“Fabulous little caf, fabulous breakfast, extremely friendly and polite staff. Would highly recommend and also they are dog friendly. Great little gem!”
“Great service for my Elektra Mini Verticale - 2nd time I've had a full service. Francis replaces all the key components and rewires as necessary every two to three years. Always a pleasure in communications and would recommend without doubt.”
“Excellent Sunday lunch, mixed meat, great variety of vegetables and lots of it, more than enough to go round. Stuffing and gravy were delicious too. Staff very welcoming and accommodating , nothing too much trouble and if you want more of anything you only have to ask and they will bring it to you straight away. Good selection of desserts which again were all delicious. Great atmosphere, it was busy but staff were always attentive. Thank You for a lovely meal”
“What a hidden gem! Popped in for a snack, egg on toast and breakfast sandwich, together with drinks and thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely friendly little cafe, highly recommended.”
“Love this place. Can’t recommend it enough. The food is always stunning the staff are really friendly and it’s a lovely atmosphere there. Come regularly with my dad and we love it.”
“Had a wonderful lunch there! Great home cooked food in a traditional atmosphere. Highly recommended, if you’re ever in Neath”
“I’d heard about this independent business from a friend, I wanted to come here to see and experience this lovey cafe for myself. I came on a day when the weather was not so nice but thats Wales so to be expected. As I entered, I was warmly welcomed to staff. There was a small queue, but staff still acknowledged me and apologised for the delay. Whilst I was waiting, I had a look around and took some photos. I chose a table, checked out the menu and then returned to the counter and placed my order. I had a cheese and ham panini, it arrived with a delicious side salad and very tasty salad dressing. My food was piping hot, well presented and looked amazing. The coffee shop was moderately busy, yet the staff were aware of all the customers and very attentive to their needs. After my food I went for a walk around and took some more photos. There is a fully adapted disabled toilet downstairs. In what is called the sergeants mess. This is a small area off to the side of the main shop, it is beautifully decorated. On leaving the main cafe and heading out into the garden, I discovered sheds that have been converted to be little seating areas that are also Harry Potter themed. There is a ramp leading down into the garden that has handrails either side of the ramp making the garden is also wheelchair accessible. A lot of attention and thought, as well as time and effort has gone into decorating this place. Harry Potter these is prevalent throughout. For any HP fan this is a must visit. On returning inside I passed another fully adapted wheelchair accessible toilet, this making two available on the ground floor. The upstairs was closed so I was not able to head upstairs to see its layout or the decoration. However, from the moment I walked in I received amazing customer service; the food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxing, and I will definitely come here again when I come to Neath.”
“Lovely food (and affordable), friendly staff! Definitely would recommend!”
“Friendly cafe, very clean, waitresses were very nice and helpful, my husband and I had a cooked breakfast and a cup of tea each, the food was freshly cooked and piping hot, served very quickly, didn't have to wait long, and it all tasted delicious, and is reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.”
“We've been here at least 10 times now and we've never once has bad food or bad service. The girl serving Saturday 12 midday on 27th October was just brilliant. A constant smile on her face, knew everything we asked, excellent manners and quick service. The teriyaki chicken my sister-in-law had,and she said it was really tasty and it came with some garden mushy peas and salad garnish with balsamic vinegar. I had the 3 bean chilli, and it was beautiful, and the mixed berry cheesecake was perfect.”
“Had a lovely afternoon tea with friends. This has to be booked and paid for in cash and in advance. Good selection of food and beautiful home made cakes. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere make this an ideal place to have a relaxing coffee”
