“Had to pop in after attempting to wipe my only pair failed and snapped them near the lenses. Thankfully the lovely lady who was there was amazing. I believe her name was Angela. Anyway she was able to swap over my lenses into brand new frames. Thankfully the exact ones I needed were available and she was able to sort them pretty quick for me. I did have to spend quite abit that I originally wasn't expecting to spend that day. To be honest though it was worth it as I didn't have to order new glasses and have to wait awhile for them to come back. Angela (I hope I've remembered her name right) was an absolute godsend. Super helpful and polite. Made my visit so much less stressful with her calm and professional nature. So I was able to think calmly about what was the best solution since they were the only pair I had. Honestly any time I go in the staff prove time and time again why I prefer to be with vision express.”

“I had the most lovely experience visiting this amazing natural space in Neath. The area of the park is huge, I spent more than 4 hours walking there and still left many areas without exploring them. The lake brought me back memories of the movie The Lake House! that's how beautiful and romantic this is, please take your dog with you if you're coming here, he will thank you later. The Park was almost empty today because it was raining so much but I didn't care I actually think the experience under the rain was even better. I'm coming back soon.”

    Neath Acupuncture Clinic

    ★★★★★ 5
    Open

“I have been attending here for the past 9 yrs. The very skilled TCM Practitioner Marie Ricketts has with acupuncture, nutrition, and advice has more or less given me my life back. I cannot speak highly enough of Marie and her professionalism. It was at the suggestion of my then GP that I try alternative medicine before referring me to various Consultants that I went to Marie Ricketts. I am not a young person so having only known Western style medicine I was very sceptical going to that first appointment. Marie has worked alongside Western medicine prescribed by my GP and Consultants. TCM really has given me an education in what good food can do to my body and how it works with foods. I have seen other friends attend for appointments and the changes in them have been noticeable too. There is nothing strange or wierd in the sessions at all. Marie is very skilled and fully qulified in this medicine. I give thanks to God for her skills in getting me back on my feet. There is nothing that can't be helped. I cannot speak too highly of the treatments given in the Wellness Clinic from the Welcome given by Yvonne and treatments given by Marie Ricketts. The respect and care is second to none. I cannot recommend this alternative medicine and Marie Ricketts highly enough.”

    Gnoll Park Cafe

    ★★★☆☆ 3.8

“I love both the gnoll and the gnoll cafe. It's a great place for all members of the family. The only fault of it is the parking costing too much so if you don't have the ability to wall miles then you have to pay a ridiculous cost for a parking ticket. Luckily, I can walk from where I live. But I have family members who can't. So it ends up being preferable to go somewhere where it is free to park. But for me personally, I enjoy the walking donit doesn't affect me so i have alot of enjoyment from the gnoll. Also, the outside eating area is perfect for the dog. Every time I go there I eat outside in all the weather and never get soaked, cold or even sunburned! I love the new shelter! To Neath Port Talbot Council, well done on adding the outside area. But please re think parking charges and bring back the scooters! This will enable more members of the public to enjoy it.”

“Absolutely amazing guys here! Always finding a way to fit you in in their tight schedules, informing you on the process as it goes, treating your car as their own making sure they check everything and if there is a fault they would dig deep to find the issue. Went there first time with blown off radiator, Dean and the guys managed to sort it out within two days - and I mean arranging the parts and meanwhile doing MOT, fitting new tyres, adding extras like antifreeze and bulbs! I would definitely recommend, great local and affordable service for all your vehicle needs.”

    Lone Wolf Campsite

    ★★★★★ 4.9

“Just spectacular. This is my favourite campsite I've ever visited. 15 acres of beautiful woodland, pitch a tent where you please. Choosing where to pitch is a lot of fun - we were down by the stream, and it was great to hear the water flowing. There are facilities up at the entrance by the car park, toilets, a warm shower, sink to wash up. But this is a spot primarily to get back to nature a bit. Scavenging your own fire wood is great fun (although you can buy some or bring your own if you wish). Very friendly and helpful owner / manager - Ian even helped me change a flat tyre. Couldn't recommend this place enough!”

    Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Open

“We chose this trail for our very first walk in Wales. I travelled from Taunton, which took around two hours by car. The journey was mostly along dual carriageways, passing through Bristol. The final stretch was along a rural road, narrow enough that two cars could only pass with care. Parking The car park Cwm Porth - Four Waterfalls Car Park where we stopped was well equipped with changing rooms, toilets, a small shop, and a coffee shop serving sandwiches. The capacity wasn’t very high, so on bank holidays it’s best to arrive early to secure a space. There is, however, another car park nearby as a backup. The Trails The area offers two marked trails – red and green. Completing both takes around four hours in total. The red route is a loop. To see four of the waterfalls, you’ll need to leave the main trail, descend around 200 steps, and then climb back up afterwards. The green route is an out-and-back path. You follow it to see two waterfalls, then retrace your steps to rejoin the main trail and complete the route. Waterfalls There are four waterfalls if you cover both the red and green routes. The first one is tall and set at a distance – you can view it from afar, though a few people managed to find a way closer. The second and third waterfalsl are on the green route. I even saw a group of teenagers diving into the pool at the base and swimming. The final waterfall was, in my opinion, the most spectacular. By that point you’ve already completed more than two-thirds of the trail, so the decision to descend the steep steps and climb back up again isn’t an easy one – but I strongly recommend it. The effort is absolutely worth it. After visiting this last waterfall, it takes about half an hour to return to the car park. Difficulty The main route itself is fairly easy and takes about two hours, which makes it moderate overall. Adding in the three stair descents to visit the waterfalls raises the difficulty to moderate–hard, especially when combined with the length of the walk. Recommendations Avoid visiting during busy times, as it’s harder to enjoy the scenery with large crowds. Wear proper walking shoes – they don’t need to be technical, just comfortable for long distances. Bring plenty of water and a hat, as some parts of the path are exposed to direct sun.”
