“I had the most lovely experience visiting this amazing natural space in Neath. The area of the park is huge, I spent more than 4 hours walking there and still left many areas without exploring them. The lake brought me back memories of the movie The Lake House! that's how beautiful and romantic this is, please take your dog with you if you're coming here, he will thank you later. The Park was almost empty today because it was raining so much but I didn't care I actually think the experience under the rain was even better. I'm coming back soon.”

    Gnoll Park Cafe

    ★★★☆☆ 3.8
    Open

“I love both the gnoll and the gnoll cafe. It's a great place for all members of the family. The only fault of it is the parking costing too much so if you don't have the ability to wall miles then you have to pay a ridiculous cost for a parking ticket. Luckily, I can walk from where I live. But I have family members who can't. So it ends up being preferable to go somewhere where it is free to park. But for me personally, I enjoy the walking donit doesn't affect me so i have alot of enjoyment from the gnoll. Also, the outside eating area is perfect for the dog. Every time I go there I eat outside in all the weather and never get soaked, cold or even sunburned! I love the new shelter! To Neath Port Talbot Council, well done on adding the outside area. But please re think parking charges and bring back the scooters! This will enable more members of the public to enjoy it.”

    Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Open

“We chose this trail for our very first walk in Wales. I travelled from Taunton, which took around two hours by car. The journey was mostly along dual carriageways, passing through Bristol. The final stretch was along a rural road, narrow enough that two cars could only pass with care. Parking The car park Cwm Porth - Four Waterfalls Car Park where we stopped was well equipped with changing rooms, toilets, a small shop, and a coffee shop serving sandwiches. The capacity wasn’t very high, so on bank holidays it’s best to arrive early to secure a space. There is, however, another car park nearby as a backup. The Trails The area offers two marked trails – red and green. Completing both takes around four hours in total. The red route is a loop. To see four of the waterfalls, you’ll need to leave the main trail, descend around 200 steps, and then climb back up afterwards. The green route is an out-and-back path. You follow it to see two waterfalls, then retrace your steps to rejoin the main trail and complete the route. Waterfalls There are four waterfalls if you cover both the red and green routes. The first one is tall and set at a distance – you can view it from afar, though a few people managed to find a way closer. The second and third waterfalsl are on the green route. I even saw a group of teenagers diving into the pool at the base and swimming. The final waterfall was, in my opinion, the most spectacular. By that point you’ve already completed more than two-thirds of the trail, so the decision to descend the steep steps and climb back up again isn’t an easy one – but I strongly recommend it. The effort is absolutely worth it. After visiting this last waterfall, it takes about half an hour to return to the car park. Difficulty The main route itself is fairly easy and takes about two hours, which makes it moderate overall. Adding in the three stair descents to visit the waterfalls raises the difficulty to moderate–hard, especially when combined with the length of the walk. Recommendations Avoid visiting during busy times, as it’s harder to enjoy the scenery with large crowds. Wear proper walking shoes – they don’t need to be technical, just comfortable for long distances. Bring plenty of water and a hat, as some parts of the path are exposed to direct sun.”

    Longford Waterfall | Y Cwm

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Open

“Great little place to go for a Sunday walk. Lots of different routes to explore but wear sensible footwear as it can get pretty muddy. I started at the top and worked my way to the waterfall first then doubled back and stuck to the right side of the stream. You eventually get to a large open area with houses backing on to what turns into a small river. Follow that and it will take you to another waterfall and some abandoned run down buildings. You can carry on a bit further and you'll come to a rail bridge and some historical landmarks. I took the same route back but you could get to a main road and follow it round to the car again if you wanted.”

“Yesterday was my nephews 21st birthday, and since I live in the USA I wanted to do something special for him .The coach house had delivered my mother Sunday dinner (Which was delicious), and were fantastic at taking my info over text, so I decided to call Josh again and present him with my ideas. To say he, and the staff exceeded my expectations is an understatement ! He presented me with a menu for my approval and it was perfect! He even added a beautiful birthday cake and a bottle! My nephew couldn't have been happier, he said it was the best surprise ever.A big thank you to Josh and the staff at the Coach House for accommodating me from so far away .”
