“I visited today for the first time & Izabela was AMAZING. I found her through a google search after an awful experience at another salon & I’m so glad I did! The wax was virtually pain free, her experience shows in her work & she was incredibly reassuring throughout. She made me feel welcome from the start, was professional & thorough, and has given me the best wax I’ve ever had. The salon is very clean and Izabela made a point of showing me that the wax sticks are never double dipped to ensure good hygiene between clients. We consulted at the start of the appointment where she explained the different waxes & why she was using 2 different ones and the benefits of doing this which was above and beyond any salon I’ve been to before. I booked in again with her at the end of the session & will be a returning customer going forward. Thank you so much Izabela, I’m so glad I found you!”

“My New years Eve pedicure was amazing. My feet are ready and feeling refreshed, and 10 years younger, I had the Elim Pedicure, which lasted 1.30mins and was pure bliss. This medical grade pedicure treatment was inspired by aesthetic facial treatment and felt like a relaxing facial for my feet. The beautician was very professional and skilled, and she finished off with a beautiful gel polish. “Wow what can I say about a ladies salon being a gentleman. Well a bit apparently, I was looking to get my self a bit of pampering so I decided I would like to have an open razor shave whilst holidaying in the Midlands. After a bit of research I was reliably informed this this salon offers such a request and after a reasonably short notice booking (thanks btw I know I doesn't happen all the time but if you don't ask you don't get I suppose) I did arrive early to my appointment but I was greeted with a very welcoming feeling. I was introduced to Nicole and whisked upstairs, I must say the salon is lovely inside a real treat to visit. I was taken into a private room for my shave which was nice and relaxing. Nicole was very attentive and the shave I received was second to none. After she was finished my face was as smooth as a balloon. She then asked if I would like a hair cut as she had some extra time between clients. Absolutely I would, my haircut is nice and neat exactly what I get at my regular Barber all said and done my face was beautifully shaved and my hair game was on point. Lovely salon and staff keep up the good work.”

“I started coming to G&L's in 2020 and for the first time ever in 25 years I got my hair coloured by the lovely Lottie! I have been back twice since and booked in for my fourth colouring and style with her in May this year. I was so nervous about taking the plunge with colouring my hair as I had never had it done before and was quite nervous, Lottie made me feel so at ease and continues to do so every time I visit! She gives me great advise on what shampoo and conditioner to use and also which heat protector is best for my hair type. She talks me through everything she is going to use on my hair and I honestly could not wish for a better stylist then her! We get on fab and it's always nice to see her when I have my hair done for a good catch up putting the world to rights ❤️ would never go anywhere else best of the best”

I ended up using Robin, he treated me with respect, he talked me through everything that was needed, and sent photos and videos as updates, which was brilliant. “Didn’t know this place existed , it’s tucked away off the main high street but very accessible and close to parking. Went in to ask about walk in appointments and was told by Nicola she had a cancellation and could fit me in for a dry trim if that was what I wanted . She was friendly and asked questions about my hair routines and listened to what I wanted . Very happy with the hair cut . The salon looked nice and clean and smelt great NO damp towel smell which is a big thing for me . Prices are competitive with other local places . Looks like I’ve found my new hairdresser..”
