Celebrating a birthday with family, our server was very good. Food was delicious, please note the sourced and butter is enough for 2 or 3 people.
Awesome food and super friendly service. We went there for my birthday, and Matt looked after us—really sweet of him, he even wrote me a birthday message in my native language. We have great memories of our time there.
We have visited this particular Miller and Carter several times and never had a bad experience however tonight I thought I would leave a review as the service was probably some of the best I have ever experienced. Myself and my partner both agreed that Moira was an exceptionally good waitress, attentive, helpful and chatty and genuinely interested in chatting with customers whilst maintaining professionalism. The food was great as always and love the new camenbert mash. I have to leave off one star for atmosphere as the air conditioning was way too cold. I did mention it but the staff informed me that it needed to be left on.
This was my first time at Miller & Carter, Sutton Park. On entering we were quickly greeted & led to our table which seated the 4 of us. The table was circular & of a good size. The tables were set out in such a way each table enjoyed some privacy, whilst enjoying part view of the lake The seating was very comfortable with adequate room to move around without disturbing other diners. Decor was of interest & the lighting added to the ‘smart casual’ ambience ! Amanda, our waitress was so pleasant & accommodating, giving us plenty of time to peruse the menu. Amanda knew exactly what dishes were on the menu & was able to answer any queries we had.. She clearly asked if any of us had food allergies, ( I wish more restaurants would make this a mandatory question to ask ) The food was beautifully presented, well cooked & perfect temperature. As soon as we had all finished she cleared the dishes whilst we focused on the desert menu! I have to say, although they were busy, we never felt rushed!! My sister & brother in law chose Miller & Carter as the place to celebrate my 60th birthday!! Amanda even presented me with a portion of ice cream & tray with happy birthday drizzled in choc sauce such a lovely thought & much appreciated ! We had a really enjoyable time, & we will visit again A special thank you to the vivacious Amanda, a real asset to the Miller & Carter!
We arranged to meet friends at Sutton Park for a late lunch, it’s their favourite and they love a window table. The restaurant was busy but the server Emma was great, she kept us informed and gave us attention at all times, making us feel very valued. The food, my husband and I had Chateaubriand, beautiful and cooked to perfection. We were never rushed off our table later on and it was a very wonderful experience, so great we sat there for over 3 hours. Perfect and thank you.
Good experience but a few points to mention. This was the first time visiting the Sutton Park branch. Upon entry, quick service straight to the seat. A lovely lady was quickly dispatched to our seat ready to take drinks orders. Service was prompt and the lady we had always provided a lovely personality to the orders. One thing I did notice was that I had to clean the seat before sitting down as it was covered in crumbs. Also the first plate we used also was partially dirty when being placed on the table. I had no concerns about my meal but my wife did comment that the starter was nearly cold compared to the starters we have had at other restaurants. A good experience but some points worth mentioning.
Lovely restaurant, really relaxing, clean and lovely environment to sit and enjoy a meal. Staff were all smiling and polite. Unfortunately our waiter did get our main course orders wrong but this was quickly rectified so no issue there. The food was lovely too but I do think slightly overpriced for what you get. £110 for two people for 3 courses & two drinks each.
