   A friend brought me here for a meet up as she lives in London and I live near Brighton. The waiter service was great, Mete was helpful about the food and friendly and fun. However, it was the food that knocked me out. I'm a veggie and the nut roast was fabulous, as was everything else. Top marks, you beat the top veggie restaurant in Brighton by a mile.

   Booked for a family celebration of 20 people. Booking easy with updates through the online booking service. Preordered food due to numbers. I was very specific about preferences and dietary needs, all of which were adhered to perfectly. Food was great, generous portions. Service was great also with friendly, attentive staff. Frequent checks to see if any more drinks needed and to check that everything was OK. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended

   We booked the function room for our son’s 1st birthday and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Booking was quick and easy, with very helpful email communication throughout. The function room was the perfect space – private and away from other diners, which meant the children in our party could enjoy themselves without disturbing anyone. Parents were able to relax, knowing the kids could move around and make noise without worry. There was also plenty of space for buggies to be parked and even for babies to nap, which made it so convenient. The food was excellent – we pre-ordered, and the staff had everything organised perfectly. Dishes came out at a good pace, were absolutely delicious, and the generous portions meant we even had some to take home (thank you for the takeaway containers!). Service was truly outstanding. Our waiter, Ben, was friendly, efficient, and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even asked. The other staff members were also warm, chatty, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this venue for any special occasion and will definitely be booking again in the future.

   Have visited several pubs in UK but this one is hands down consistently been my favorite thus far. The drinks (guest beers from local Rivertown brewery are always fab) and shaken tales of the cock (cocktails) so fine, the menus of food (especially the brilliant Sunday Roast!) replete, reasonable and always fresh. (rotisserie chicken is the bomb!) Chefs kiss level lovely. The staff is on point & very friendly, (especially delightful for the solo nomad) and the myriad entertainment we’ve attended is quite remarkably well curated! Applause!! Community vibes with comfortable & at home atmosphere. Has been a respite away from the roam. Can highly recommend to any and all seeking a proper pub experience or a good vibe, day or night.

   We went for lunch here 4-12-22 and it is seriously the best roast dinner I’ve ever had. Everything was hot and perfectly cooked. The deserts were just as delicious. The kids meals were a decent size and tasted as good as the adults . The staff were lovely, we couldn’t fault a thing. It is beautiful inside, especially with the open fire on a cold day.

   Homely atmosphere, decent menu and friendly staff. Food well presented and v.tasty backed up with a good wine selection. Worth a visit; although more than suspect gets busy during those "going out" periods - best to book in advance for a table.

   Me and my boyfriend came here for some food and drinks on Saturday night. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was great as was the wine! Good value for money. The bottle of wine we had was called Lobster Reef. Highly recommend this place for a nice date night, dinner with friends or family :)
