“What an incredible find! If you're looking for genuine Italian food made with passion, this is the place. The homemade lasagna, straight from a family recipe, was absolute perfection—rich, flavourful, and clearly made with love. The wine list was superb, and our server's recommendation was the perfect pairing. We finished with a fantastic dessert that was the ideal end to the meal. The best part was seeing the owner in the kitchen, pouring his heart into the food. That passion is the secret ingredient. We're already planning our next visit!”

“The staff here were very friendly. I stopped by at the end of a long day in the city and had a very nice meal. I had a fantastic duck liver starter. The steak was delicious. The chips were triple fried and some of the best I’ve ever had. The pub is lovely. Well worth a trip here if you’re in London for a visit.”

“Stopped off for refreshments during our thames path walk. It's slightly back from the Thames. Good selection of craft beers.. Staff were friendly, and it was good to see that they used disinfectant between seatings as most pubs just take the glasses and forget to wipe. Hope to return so we can try out the menu as it read well and on seeing the food served to others in the pub it smelt good too.”

“A Charming Escape with Delicious Food and Friendly Service The food is simply outstanding—every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the steak and guinness pie and fish and chips, which was cooked to perfection with generous portions. The staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring that you have everything you need and it shows in the quality of service. The pub itself is cosy and charming, with a lovely outdoor area that's perfect for enjoying a drink on a sunny day. It's also very family-friendly, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Overall, The Horseshoes is a delightful place to unwind with great food, great company, and a great atmosphere. I definitely recommend it and we will come back soon.”

“Had a lovely Christmas dinner on Christmas Day , the food was good and loads of meat, bit stingy on the veg but non the less it was good food. HUGE Yorkshire pud. The staff, as always , were amazing so welcoming and friendly , the beer cold and a good selection too. Our stay was only marred by a loud, drunk, loads of money , family who really didn’t give a hoot about anyone but themselves , not The Crowns fault but did mar the event for the other patrons there!, hence 4 stars for atmosphere . We love this venue and will be back many times.”

“Visited on a Thursday for Irish music night. The pub is lit with candles. It’s cosy and atmospheric. Music started around 9.30pm and it was traditional Irish music. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the toilets were clean. Outside garden available if needed.”

“Visited today for my mums birthday - we booked last minute after a change of plans. We had 3 courses and every single one was delicious. Highly recommend the Sunday roast and the sticky toffee! The service was great - special thanks to the two young guys (I didn’t catch their names but a really young lad and the barman with plaits) for looking after us. We will be back!”

Friendly helpful staff and tasty top-notch Sunday roast with perfect wine, and the best cooked breakfast. Lots of attention to detail that we really appreciated. It was quiet in the pub, not a lively atmosphere, which was surprising as it’s great food and relaxed, gorgeous surroundings. Maybe because it was a Sunday out of season? Would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area.”

“Krishna took great care of us, explained the menu, when needed. Delicious food in a great atmosphere, quite pub like with the football on (Arsenal v Bournemouth!) but sound down, so definitely not intrusive. Would recommend.”

“This is such a wonderful, traditional pub. I had lunch with my brother & nephew last Wednesday, for my birthday. The dish had a nice balance of flavors, with a hint of sweetness and savory notes that were enhanced by a squeeze of lime. The chicken pieces were tender and complemented the noodles well, along with fresh bean sprouts and crunchy vegetables, adding texture to each bite. While the Pad Thai was enjoyable, it could benefit from a bit more spice or tang to elevate the flavors further. Overall, Rusty Bike offers a good Pad Thai and a pleasant dining experience, making it worth a visit if you're in the area.”

“Recently refurbished village pub and hotel. Great new menu, friendly staff, brilliant playlist, surprisingly superb Amaretto Sours! And even a great spot for a morning coffee after your dog walk. The doggy delights station is a favourite for four legged friends.”

“What a beautiful venue! Walked in at 18:00 expecting a dead space, boy was I wrong. All tables in the pub were in use with an amazing buzz in the air. I came for a Neon Naked event upstairs which was an amazing space & great event. Will definitely be coming back. Amazing staff, great service.”

“A really nice pub with a great atmosphere and a beautiful garden. The staff were very friendly, so I'm leaving 5 stars. The only downside was that we waited over 40 minutes for chips and samosas, even though it wasn't that busy. But overall, I definitely recommend it!”

“Lovely little pub. Characterful with a mix of people, a locals’ pub but everyone welcome. One very nice chap bought me a drink at last orders, had a really good chat afters. Really classy, fun young lady running the bar, a real natural at it, a throwback to the good old days. She asked me if I had any last requests for the music, which was granted (I asked for Lenny Kravitz) and she told me about the place, and where the fantastic paintings of London streets on the walls came from (no spoilers, go in and ask!)”

“We held a work party in the upstairs room at the Hospital Tavern and it was brilliant! The events manager was fantastically helpful, service was brilliant, and the selection of food and drink available was fab, we didn't scratch the surface of the equipment available (mics, lights, sound etc!) but what we used was great. The pub is in a great location and has a really friendly, fun vibe... also nice late opening hours!”

We went to the cinema before, and because I knew we’d be arriving late on a Sunday (3:45) I specified what roast we’d like just incase they were running low. Anyway, the team did a great job holding our food back for us as requested as they did run out. It was delicious! Lovely cosy calm atmosphere too (and my Irish boyfriend loved his Guinness).”
