Jennie has been amazing so far! Really responsive to emails and enquires and feels like she actually cares about the clients (which is not always the experience I have had with other estate agents so far). Looking forward to continuing on the process and feel like I am in great hands!

I have recently moved in to my new home and have had the pleasure to work with Jennie. I was impressed with her professionalism, helpfulness, willingness to assist and communication style. Jennie was very supportive and just great throughout the process, keeping me informed, liaising the solicitors and making sure everyone was on the same page. I believe that , without her involvement, the buying process would have been even more stressful. I would highly recommend buying/ selling with Jennie and would be happy to use Stevenson Whyte in the future.

Leasing a flat through Stevenson Whyte was a great experience. From the initial showing with Jennie to all further communication, everyone was professional. Whenever I had a question, they responded promptly and were always courteous and helpful.

I have recently had the opportunity to use Stevenson Whyte’s sales, rental, and property management services following an extensive and complicated sale process due to cladding work issues and issues with the leaseholder contracts. First and foremost, I would like to commend the property management team. Their service has been exemplary. Every member I have interacted with has been consistently polite, approachable, and eager to assist. All queries and issues I raised were responded to within 24 hours, or I was given a clear timeframe when immediate resolution was not possible. Their dedication and professionalism reflect highly on the company. Regarding my property purchase, I worked with Jennie, who demonstrated a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and commitment throughout the process. She was proactive in her communication, provided clear and helpful guidance, and worked diligently to ensure all necessary information was shared promptly—particularly when I changed mortgage brokers. Her support helped navigate what was, at times, a complex and lengthy transaction, and I greatly appreciated her dedication and the calm, knowledgeable manner in which she handled the process. Jennie’s efforts were instrumental in bringing the sale to a successful conclusion, and I am genuinely grateful for her assistance throughout. The rental team’s performance was disappointing and fell short of the standards expected from a professional service. Five days prior to moving in, we had still not received confirmation that the move was definitely going ahead. We were also asked to pay the deposit before seeing the tenancy agreement—an unprecedented experience for me—and when I requested clarification, the team’s response was notably cold and dismissive. My primary point of contact with the rental team frequently demonstrated a lack of organisation, accountability, and effective communication. Upon moving in, one of the entrance keys did not fit in the lock, and no window lock keys were provided—both of which were later identified as fire safety issues by the contractors sent to fix the issues. This man initially dismissed these concerns, asserting that he had personally locked the door using the same key the day before we moved in and that the previous tenants had been able to open the windows. Only after I provided video evidence and he attended the property in person did he acknowledge the issues. His subsequent explanation—that the landlord had changed the locks overnight (on a Friday evening) and provided incorrect keys without informing the agency—was difficult to reconcile with his earlier certainty and dismissiveness of my concerns. He also backtracked and informed us that keys to the windows had never been provided by the landlord. The required repairs took several weeks for him to arrange and required repeated follow-up on my part. Throughout our correspondence, his tone was often curt and unprofessional, and his written communication lacked the clarity and cohesiveness expected from someone in his role. I eventually resorted to asking my male housemates to liaise with him, as they consistently received more courteous and professional responses. I recognise that my experience with Stevenson Whyte was far from ordinary and notably prolonged due to no fault of anyone involved. While the other two teams are clearly knowledgeable, the rental department often came across as immature and lacking the client-focused professionalism evident in the property management and sales team. It is surprising to see such a significant disparity within the same company, and I believe this is an area that should be addressed moving forward. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive and helps the company continue to provide high-quality service across all departments.

Really helpful agency, Jennie was informative and quick to find me the perfect flat! I felt she went out of her way to accommodate me, and I would definitely look to use them again in the future.

We moved to Stevenson Whyte only very recently - this month in fact - but we have found their service excellent even in this short time. Our previous agent had let us down on several, very important issues and in one instance leaving the directors vulnerable to litigation. They never responded to requests from directors, they had to be reminded several times - then complained about the number of emails they received from us!! So it's a relief to find that our new agent responds to emails very promptly and courteously with relevant information. We're looking forward to a productive and successful relationship.

We’ve been tenants with Stevenson whyte for years, the service has always been polite, friendly and efficient. Yaz, with whom we’ve been communicating recently, has been especially helpful and a standout member of the team.

I lived at Mere house in Manchester for 5 years with Stevenson and found them to be very communicative, helpful and fair the entire period. Initial payments were high as I was renting a on my own but the place was fantastic and I was sad to leave. Deposits kept in protection scheme and good costs for admin compared to others agents in Manchester.

As a landlord I would not recommend this company to manage your property. The sales department was better, but the service from the lettings side was consistently poor over 18 months, despite me contacting directors. Could go on for ever about various things but will give the main ones: failed to keep property in a good condition with a series of botched maintenance jobs, failure to pass to me information relating to matters that needed attention and failure to find contractors to attend for months; failure to provide inspection reports when requested, including returning tenant bond before giving me sight of exit report. Excuses they provided included "we are a small company", "I thought I had sent you the report" and then bizarrely "you didn't ask for the report". Absolute mess. They did pass on rent in a timely way, but the series of other errors meant I had zero peace of mind over 18 months.
