   I recently held a private event at the Railway Pub in Streatham and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Huge thanks to Triveni, who managed my booking so professionally — she was incredibly helpful, organised, and responsive, making the whole planning process completely stress-free. On the day itself, all the staff were brilliant: friendly, attentive, and worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. The venue was perfect, the atmosphere was great, and our guests had an amazing time. I couldn’t recommend the Railway Pub highly enough for private events — outstanding service all round!

   The Railway is a beautiful looking independent pub which is exceptionally cosy at this time of year with the pub bedecked on tinsel and lights. For Sunday lunch I unfortunately found the service to be quite poor with staff appear stressed and disinterested in patrons. The food was likewise a disappointment; it clearly has the potential to be brilliant but the roast dinners we received were lukewarm and the pork was inedible due to being incinerated (see picture). Overall, based only on today which I hope was a bad example of what the pub is capable of, I would only return to drink and not dine.

   COSY WINTER PUB AND VIBEY BEER GARDEN! A lovely little pub tucked away near Streatham station, full of fairy lights and charm. It’s wonderfully warm inside, making it perfect for a cosy winter midweek pint. The crowd is friendly and easygoing, and the décor has that classic, slightly quirky British pub feel done really well. There’s also a great beer garden out back that’ll be ideal once summer rolls around. It’s the kind of spot that works just as well for a quiet catch-up with friends as it does for a low-key date. The staff on this visit seemed a bit unsure behind the bar and needed a bit of teamwork (ours included) to get the drinks sorted, but we got there in the end.

   Popped in for Sunday dinner and honestly, the food was fantastic! We started with the croquettes and the sausage with black pudding roll—both were so tasty and a definite must-try. It’s one of those places that works for anything—whether you're after a quick bite, sharing a few plates with mates over drinks, or just want a really lovely dinner. The vibe is great and the food won’t disappoint. Highly recommend giving it a go!

   From an old bloke's point of view this is an old fashioned pub that reminds me of some happy times of a misspent yout. Proper bar, proper seats, lovely staff, good, wholesome food. Exceptional fish'n'chips. Its right next to Streatham Common railway station and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

   The Railway is a large old pub with indoor and outdoor tables. We went to have a dinner with family. They had a good selection of beers, wine and other drinks. The menu had several starters and main courses. The staff were quite nice and friendly. I would have provided a higher rating, however they were very inflexible when we asked for slight variances to the plates. The meals were nonetheless quite tasty.

   Great pub, huge inside and large garden area. Went to watch women's euros and stayed for the excellent comedy evening taking place each Sunday. Good selection of food and wine. Excellent burger and very fast food delivery! App to order drinks directly to the table is a bonus.

   Average pub with decent food and good service. They provide the option of inside or outdoor (garden or front porch) seating. You can order at the bar or via an app. Food is nice and well priced.
