Great stay at Conference Aston! The location is one of the best ; right near Birmingham city centre. The room is small but amazingly well designed, with everything you need. What I loved the most is that the rooms are eco-friendly ; a really thoughtful and modern touch. Highly recommended!

I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel, it was very nice and quiet , one thing I always judge by is the cleanliness and standard of service. On which points it scored really well. I liked that they are trying to be environmentally friendly and ethically sourcing the food. The breakfast was really good. But one thing I'll say is you really need to work on your signage. Maybe you are trying to understate it's a hotel.

Highly recommend for a night or two. Rooms are small so I wouldn't stay for longer than that. Cooked Breakfast was excellent. Good value rooms. Good location in center of town. Parking 5 mins walk away. I strongly recommend using the what three words address on the email to find parking entrance as its off a dual carriage way so you don't want to miss the turning but what three words took me right to the door

Stayed here last year for a work seminar and had a lovely room. They booked us in again this year but the rooms this time were awful. More like halls of residence than hotel rooms. Couldn't close the curtains properly because the bed was pressed up against them. TV didn't work. The bed was one of those cheap wooden slat ones, hard as a rock. Toilet flush kept sticking. The shower was tiny and in a fixed position quite high up. I didn't want to get my hair wet which was almost impossible due to the proportions. Fold up desk, fold up chair and a long hike to the lift, the only lift serving 5 floors so often a queue. Food was OK. Premier inn or Travelodge similar price but much better quality

I really enjoyed my stay at Conference Aston Hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent, perfect for a refreshing start or end to the day. The rooms are well-equipped, cozy and cater to a variety of budgets, making it a great choice whether you’re traveling for business or leisure. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to almost everything I wanted to see and do, which made exploring easy. I particularly enjoyed returning in the evenings to relax with a refreshing glass of flavored water, a cookie, or a cupcake. The little touches really made my stay feel welcoming and enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I had a comfortable, convenient, and pleasant stay, and I’d happily come back!

I was here for a conference and the conference facilities were pretty good. The hotel is very well located for Central Birmingham and easy to get to. The bedrooms are small but adequate, with a small desk large enough to work from. The food and bar facilities, however, are appalling! My first meal was lunch and there were three hot choices. All three of these choices were for special-needs eaters: there was no meat! The only meat available were cold accompaniments to the salads. The evening meal was significantly better, this time proper food rather than a political statement, although the portions were meagre. The bar facilities are a joke! Within around two hours of the bar opening, they ran out of beer... Overall, I would never come back here, but it may be suitable for vegetarian teetotallers with small appetites...

A fairly basic room. Good location and great staff. Excellent breakfast, perfect poached eggs... The pool is not in the hotel but instead is part of the university.

Lovely campus and nice lunches offered as part of external conferences held in Conference, Aston. Attended a JCT course with some colleagues, enjoyed the campus vibe ! Nice after lunch sunny walks in mid Feb inside the campus. Car park available within campus as well.

My booking was made through a third party however the hotel say they never received it which I find hard to believe. They had plenty of rooms available when I booked and the agent I use never sends me a confirmation (which I received) until the hotel has accepted the booking. I arrived only to be told that there was no booking made and that they couldn't accommodate me for my entire stay. One of the days had since had every room fully booked by one company, maybe it's just coincidence but it certainly felt like my booking had been conveniently 'lost' in order to accommodate this other firm. In the ensuing conversation the staff openly admitted (I'm guessing by accident) to regularly overbooking. I'll give full credit to the receptionist Stephanie for doing everything she could to accommodate me upon arrival, she even gave me a premium room, but when I tried to discuss the issue with the manager the next day all I got was a game of slopey shoulders; "Not our fault". I got the feeling he was just annoyed by my presence. There was another receptionist who I got really bad vibes from too, a proper 'computer says no' type. Essentially I got booted out half way through my stay. The rooms are extremely small and quality wise are no better than the average Travelodge or Premier Inn. The breakfast is great, truly great. Fantastic selection and lots of things made to order. On the flip side though the evening meals are poor and insanely expensive. Tiny portions combined with poorly cooked frozen ingredients in an effort to appear Michelin Star like but it's just bad. They wanted nearly £40 for a single frozen croquette, fish and chips and a slice of cake. For the price you pay, this hotel in my opinion is incredibly poor value for money. It's certainly not four star by any metric. Its only saving graces are Stephanie, Breakfast and Liam and his team at the bar who'll go well above and beyond to make you feel welcome. In all, I'd recommend avoiding.

Unfortunately the hotel staff member was quite rude, the walls are paper thin and you can hear multiple rooms from yours, hence the two stars. If you need information about parking don't even bother calling, I imagine the reason for their curtness is that they have an agreement with the parking lot and get money for directing customers to only to the millenium parking lot. There is PLENTY of on the road parking which is a lot closer and cheaper, oh and also free from 7pm to 8 am. I had hoped the hotel would have been kind enough to mention that, but the staff member got mad at me for even suggesting that they should actually tell guests about it if they ask. Anyway, not worth what they charge in my opinion.
