Great selection of house shares was just a case of finding the one that fit my specifications. Lad showing us round was very helpful and not too salesman like making it comfortable to come to an informed decision. Would recommend.
Central has genuinely been the best company I have ever rented from: communication is extremely quick and effective, and every staff member I interacted with throughout my tenancy was understanding and accommodating. Maintenance issues were tackled almost immediately (in some cases, the same day), and the house was nearly flawless upon moving in. We were also given an envelope upon our arrival of useful documentation such as how to sort out our bills, council tax, parking, and contact details for any issues with rent. Our full deposit was returned to us in just over a week after the end of our contract with no difficulties or delays. In particular, Olivia C has been amazing throughout the year in her quick and helpful communication to tenants, as well as her (and the whole company's) considerate and human approach to any difficulties we encountered. Having rented from some truly horrible agents in the past as a student, I was doubtful about the existence of a good company in Leeds to rent from but would highly recommend Central to students or professionals!
I'm sharing my experience with central properties recently. After viewing the property they send me bunch of emails to fill online forms and i believe that's a mandatory requirement from letting agencies, fair enough. But I was surprised to hear from them later in the email that they can't offer me a property because of my age. How on earth you guys give rooms to let by age criteria? I have lived in many countries abroad and there's no such thing about age. Mandatory checks and rooms must be let after those checks. You guys just waste my time for nothing.
Have been renting with central properties this year and found it very easy with any problems sorted out quickly. Olivia was always amazing and easy to contact and she would always make sure any problems were sorted asap.

I have been renting a central properties house for 6 months, moved for my first year of uni. I have never written a review, but felt compelled to after the poor service me and my house mates have received. It is always one problem after another from moving in to no internet for a a week or so, constant boiler breaks and useless contractors who can never seem to fully fix the boiler. during the coldest point of winter times we had no heating for a week ( this has not happened once). Silverfish which when reported, a guy came over and sprays areas around the house with bug spray which was ineffective. When I came back after Christmas I forgot my keys, and when I went to ask for spare keys I had to walk to and from the office 3 times because they gave me the wrong keys 3 times in a row, and the office staff were polite but very nonchalant about that. They do send maintenance within a week, however the problems keep happening and its extremely stressful as it's my first time living alone and they do not make it easy. regarding the lack of internet ( for over a week), which they said would be there by the time I arrived, their excuse for it not being there is they were waiting on the virgin media to arrive, but it should have been dealt with before anyone moved in. I had to pay for data packages out of money I need for more important things as a uni student, after reminding them to give me a reimbursement 6 months after the incident they said they were willing to give me £4.39. Data I used cost me £30 ( over two packages), I'm studying a tech orientated course so internet is extremely important for what I'm doing. For anyone looking for a place to rent I wouldn't rent with central properties.
Have been a landlord with Central Properties for around 18 years and very happy with their service. I have had to do very little, which is what I want! Very quick and courteous responses to emails, efficient dealing with issues that come up, and a professional attitude. Plus, the property has been occupied solidly for that whole time, which perhaps the no. 1 priority.
