Fantastic pub with food that really stands out. The menu has all the classics done right, with generous portions and loads of flavor. Everything came out hot and well presented, and you can tell it’s freshly made. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Will definitely be backing in the new year.

Spent a two night mid week stay with our young adult children who are at uni close by. We stayed in the two bedroom flat which was spotless with comfortable beds and the lovely staff gave us an extra duvet for the siblings in the massive bed. Great breakfast but the icing on the cake was Wednesday Steak Night. Wagyu Ribeye for two. The best steak I have ever eaten. Fantastic walks directly from the driveway too. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back.

We stopped for dinner at The Bull last night with my elderly and terminally ill greyhound Howard. I told the waitress about Howard and asked if they could bring us a plain sausage for him, fully expecting to pay for this. He loved the sausage. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the pub quiz in a very relaxed and welcoming environment. At the end of the night I paid the bill and realised they had not charged me for the sausage. This was a lovely caring touch to end what would be Howard’s last night with us. I would personally like to say thank you to the personnel at The Bull for everything. We will definitely be back.

Just stayed two nights here in the two-bedroom apartment. Fabulous. Clean, spacious, comfortable and everything in the apartment - bedding, towels, crockery, toiletries - felt like great quality and added a touch of luxury. The outlook from the living room window was also beautiful, looking straight across drystone wall-bordered fields. We also had dinner on the first evening and that was lovely too: absolutely delicious fish, very pleasant atmosphere and good value too. Really delighted with our visit. Thank you very much indeed.

Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere but the food was a little disappointing. Cauliflower curry advertised and priced as a main course was very tasty but only the size of a starter. The steak and kidney suet pudding was also very tasty but the top of the pudding was very hard, the knife wouldn't cut it. Not great value for a meal but the friendly helpful staff give a warm welcome.

Outstanding food, we had the steak and chips (flat iron) to our surprise the accomplishments were considerable, the tomato with sautéed onions particularly good. Also nice touch of side salad and very fresh and prepared well! The steak was cooked as ordered perfectly. Peppercorn sauce perfect. Best chips in a long time and probably the nicest onion rings I’ve had! ( I don’t normally eat onion rings) Had fidgety pie with black pudding to start which had me googling how to make one (yes that good) To finish head bread and butter pudding, I could have had more but that is just how moreish it was. All in all staff were great we even got visited by the local dog who wanders at night. Super friendly and will be back again, wish this place was in our home town!

We popped in with our two dogs just for one drink. The staff and everyone was so friendly. We learnt so much about the area and heard so many stories we had a great time and headed back to our camp site three hours and four drinks later. Amazing surroundings, great beer and live dogs. I returned the next mid day half way around a walk and received the same welcome. Very highly recommended

A wonderful Sunday meal at a fair price in this Lovely pub! Beef (plenty of it), 3 roasts (carrot, parsnips and potatoes), plenty of greens, a Yorkshire Pudding and even the gravy was gorgeous! A First for us at The Bull's Head, but definitely NOT the last! Friendly, Smiling Staff and a cosy, clean pub.

We stayed at the pub as we were going to a wedding nearby. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was absolutely gorgeous - one of the best pub rooms we've stayed in! Breakfast was simple but delicious - toast, croissants, jams, yoghurts, cereals etc. Coffee great. There is also a large tea/coffee table outside the rooms for guests to use, which is a great touch. Everything was perfect, wouldn't hesitate to come back and explore the area more! Thank you!
