   Fabulous inn in beautiful surroundings. Had a lovely 2 day stay for our anniversary. Breakfast was lovely and meals at night were great value. All staff were extremely polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Never felt rushed out of inn after eating. Beautiful stay.

   Booked 2 rooms, when we tried to book another third for elderly parents realised there were no more rooms. Within half an hour of booking decided we could not stay there. Tried to cancel but was refused. Never had such bad service.

   Spectacular! From arrival to departure, nothing was too much for the team to ensure we felt welcome. The food was delicious, the team friendly, the beds comfortable and fantastic shower pressure. Special shoutout to our waitress Steph who was just outstanding. We will definitely be back!

   We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of The Cheshire Cat. No problems parking and we enjoyed sitting in the pub garden for a drink; the scenery and peacefulness is lush! Food was delicious, particularly breakfast which we sampled a vast amount of the variety on offer. Staff were friendly and accommodating in the bar, restaurant and the cleaning team too. The bedroom & bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfy; we had a good night sleep the 3 nights we stayed. Only a couple of small things could be improved on; floorboards in our room quite noisy…hopefully we didn’t wake anyone below us in the night when using the bathroom. Would be great to have a fan or a ceiling fan in the room to cool it down. We didn’t have heating on but the room was cosy in the eve/at night. Overall definitely a wonderful place to stay, would highly recommend and would go back if in the Chester area again for sure.

   A lovely place next door to Chester. Personally l am fanatic of canal and river. So this place is literally in the canal. Rooms are quiet even if a main road is on the other side canal. Our rooms was huge with good bed. Nice refurbished tiny bathroom. No TV in the room but for me it a pros. People looks busy and don't really pay attention at you demand. Personally l asked for upgrade the room with a breakfast they say it is not a necessary and we have to pay a big bill for our breakfast for 3 the day after.

   We really enjoyed our stay with you and it was a lovely atmosphere for the day and evening. The reasons why we could not give a 10/10 are as follows: 1. Less than half the evening menu was available which was disappointing. Even no bread in the morning for breakfast. 2. The mattresses are extremely firm; like a wooden board.

   Overall it was a pleasing experience, great location and clean and tidy rooms, lovely canal side setting with a tasty breakfast too. Only slight negatives was the bed was very firm for us, also the shower seemed to have a life of its own and the water actually just stopped coming through at one point, with a head full of shampoo i would suggest this needs looking at asap.

   The Cheshire Cat is an attractive building with character and a warm inviting atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely felt like a suite cosy. Bed was comfy with quality bedding. Bathroom was modern and immaculately clean as was the room. Breakfast was delicious quality fresh produce. Maybe some fresh fruit option as well for breakfast would be an added bonus Will be back.
