    Review of ScS Sofas - Bromborough Hannah 5 reviews GB 16 hours ago Sofa was delivered in the wrong colour Sofa was delivered in the wrong colour! My dad ordered a 2 seater sofa and a single chair about 4 months ago. It got delivered today after a long wait. My dad's phone was being repaired at the phone shop and so he couldn't check it was the correct one from the photo he took. When he got his phone back he checked the photo and realised it was not the correct colour. He has returned to the store and Emma fully admitted liability and said she had ordered the sofas in the wrong colour and she was fully responsible. He asked for an exchange and was told as he had signed for it they won't exchange it and they also won't offer a refund! He called the head office and they told him that the store has to deal with it themselves. So you order the wrong sofa and now you won't exchange it?! Absolutely disgraceful! Under the consumer rights act we have the right to request a refund within 30 days! You have made the error and so you are legally responsible for fixing YOUR MISTAKE! All we want is an exchange for the correct colour, is that too much to ask?! If this is not rectified this will have to go to the financial ombudsman and small claims court and I will be forced to let the world know how my dad has been treated and tell people not to buy from here! It's disgusting! We understand that mistakes happen all we ask is the sofa in the colour we wanted! We were then told that we were told when buying it to take a photo of the colour swatch to check it against the order when we were never told to do this. And the order just says the colour code, how are we supposed to know it's not correct?! We trust the sales rep to order it correctly in the first place. This has caused nothing but stress

    Very very disappointed with scs, I ordered sofa and 2 chairs last day of July, delivery date was mid November salesman informed me, but he said it would definitely be before Christmas as I have special visitors coming to stay. Got an email saying delivery now estimated 16th January next year this is totally more than 4 weeks from mid November rang to speak to customer service they promised to ring me back on two occasions but did not. Scs still advertising on tv that orders would be in time for Christmas they lie, and avoid explaining anything to me, as I would like to know why it's taking nearly 6 months for my new furniture and tell my I cannot cancel order. Not a happy customer.

    Go to DFS… at least they have a sale! Buying from them feels like an elaborate scam all in all. We were advised when buying our sofa from Dylan that the sofa we wanted would absolutely fit through standard doors and get into our house as Emma who worked in the store and lived in the same new build home estate as us said it would also definitely fit. Great what we like to hear. He then advised it’s best to take a finance option which we did on his advise. It the came to delivery day 1 … at half 6 on the previous day we were told the sofa would now be coming 5 days later. Forcing us to lose a days annual leave from work. After we had broken down and disposed of our previous sofa. 5 days later, delivery day 2, SCS arrive and immediately so the sofa will not fit through the doors and it’s a known problem which is why they are discontinuing the model. They advised we should have been told to measure our doors 3 times prior to delivery which no one told us to. But they have heard this from other customers as well. We are then on hold for 4 hours waiting to speak to someone in customer services to find out our options to be told to go to the store. We then speak to a young lady in the store so was extremely rude and it was a lot bigger than a standard door size ( our doors are A LOT bigger than in a standard house so I am not sure why SCS are even selling something that can’t get into a house?) and said we have to pay a further £200 to some independent company who will redeliver the sofa having broken it down in a further minimum 3 days time. Could be shorter, could be longer she didn’t know or seem to care. We asked about cancelling and was told it was not an option and it was either pay the money or lose the sofa but have to continue paying the finance. So it seems SCS knew there were issues with this sofa, failed to tell us, locked us into a contract we can’t get out of and are now being forced to find a further £200 to actually get a sofa. Everyone we spoke to other tha the delivery drivers were rude, unprofessional and unhelpful.

    Popped in with no appointment and Kate was on hand to guide us to make two purchases. All the team were very helpful. Kate was particularly knowledgeable on advising us towards the right sofas. Our delivery requirements are a bit unique and could cause a challenge so we accept that in advance as Kate talked us through the process and timings. The price also seemed very reasonable too.     Update. My friend and I both bought sofas, however the fake genuine customer service disappeared when we complained. I thought it strange that no one phoned to see if we where happy with our purchase. It is clear that once they have your money they really do not care about your issues IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU ORDERED DO NOT SIGN FOR IT. My friend said that's not the colour I ordered as they unwrapped it, she contacted the store and they could have said no problem we can exchange it, however they go by number not colour, no possibility that the wrong number written down. My issues in previous review. We both sold our sofas and purchased From Furniture for less UK. Excellent customer service, Shop on line and pay on delivery!!!! In my case I told them about it not fitting through the door, so they allowed me to pick 2 items I liked and which ever fit I could purchase. If both had not they would have taken them back. My friend and I have sofas at the price of what one cost at SCS.

    Thanks to Shaun for all of his professionalism and customer service. It's been a long road finding two sofas for our home with a failed delivery due to our stairs and then an issue with mechanics on our lazy boy (which was replaced with no issue).     Shopping for a carpet was easy and hassle-free. I received assistance when I'd chosen what I wanted, paid a deposit and within a few days the guy called to measure up and I paid the rest minus the fitters fee which I paid on the day. He did a great job and I'm a very satisfied customer.
