Booked a 2 night stay at a cost of £328.00. Disappointed straight away at the state of the car park. Was no option but to park on the grass and mud which made my car absolutely filthy. Walked up to the manor house only to be Disappointed again as that is not where we would be staying . Found the reception and hotel rooms to be in another building away from the manor , not what was advertised when booking . Straight to check in and room wasn't ready and was told to wait in the bar area and have a drink while we waited , only to wait 30 mins with no one serving, so gave up and decided to go to the nearest harvester to have food. Came back and checked into room 53 which I was very upset and disappointed with. It was not a family room I booked as one bed sofa , yet I had 2 kids , so my teen had to share a bed with me and my husband. The carpets was stained , sheets was stained, water condensation in the windows with puddles in the window sills. The bathroom had urine stains over the floor and around the toilet . The shower head had limescale and the shower basin dirty. The actual sink area was dirty, the towel rail didn't work and the towels was damp , lucky I bring my own. There was water stains on the ceiling where the roof had leaked. The wallpaper had patch marks where the wallpaper had peeled off and they just cut squares to patch it up. We couldn't use the pool facilities as it was cut times for private swimming lessons. We couldnt get in the restaurant for a meal as they had functions on , in the end i ordered a dominos just to feed the kids.It was a horrible place and i would never stay there again. Our despair of the room wasn't reticfied , and when complained all they offered was 50% back, which was refunded without my permission as I wanted 100% refund and now they think the problem is sorted and refused to reply to further emails so now im seeking legal advice

We stayed at Hunton Park to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely fantastic, genuinely friendly and more than happy to help with anything we needed, which made the whole stay feel extra special. Our room, The Buttery, was incredible. It was spacious, beautifully presented and far bigger than we expected. The grounds are equally impressive: immaculately kept and lovely to walk around. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

As family and friends we came to Hunton Park hotel after my dear Mum’s funeral and Thanksgiving service on 1 December 2025. Mum and Dad had enjoyed their joint 90th birthday and 65th wedding anniversary 2 years ago in the Orangery and Apsley room. So as a family we decided it would be lovely to bring Mum’s last gathering of the family back to Hunton Park. From the first enquiry to the day itself, Sarah and her team were wonderful, thoughtful and kind, providing the lovely Orangery and Apsley room to gather in. The staff were welcoming and professional and easy to communicate with. A screen and Bluetooth speaker was provided to show our visual tribute of family photos in a slideshow, in which we were able to bring our own playlist. The buffet was delicious and there was plenty of food and variety to all gather round and enjoy whilst sharing memories together. Plenty of hot drinks were available. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you again.

Lovely hotel. Swimming pool and changing rooms are neglected and could certainly do with a revamp. Issues with the room which were rectified when we were moved. Staff are great. Especially Lauren on the bar who was really attentive, knowledgeable and a good laugh. Also, Kane the events manager went above and beyond to make us feel really welcome and was great company when he had a minute.

Jack on reception is a credit to your company. What a nice guy, so polite and helpful. Mary at breakfast was a very nice member of your team, chatting about the hotel with her was a nice start to the day. Millie on reception is always smiling and very helpful. I have stayed at this hotel for several years and keep coming back and can safely say thats to do with the staff.

We had such a lovely time. Beautiful vegetarian afternoon tea. Flavoursome sandwich fillings and range of cakes. They brought more hot water for our tea, so we kept going with the experience. As the first small pots had been consumed too quickly! Very, very good value for money.

Had a great experience here running a business event. The staff were friendly, helpful and went to great lengths to support my event. So much better experience than I had a while ago. I really enjoyed the event. Food was good, event facilities were good (screens, sound etc). I would like to thank Tom who looked after us and Lauren on reception who was really helpful and posted my charger which I left behind. Thank you Hunton Park Team :-)

The location cannot be beat for going to the Harry Potter studios. I wasn’t expecting much when looking at the reviews but I think the reviews are harsh for the price you pay. The breakfast was superb with lots of choice from hot food to fruit and a lovely clean dining area and it also had a nice bar. The room was comfy and it was easy to get to with lots of parking. Yes you are not in the main house so the pictures are misleading but it is connected via a short passage. The surrounding areas were nice and felt very safe.

We stayed here because we were attending the Harry Potter studio tour. The hotel is about 6/7 minute drive (30 minute walk) to the studio which was ideal. The hotel and room was pretty standard. The room wasn't the cleanest and there were several things broken such as the tap and soap holder in the shower. We were only there for 1 night so not long enough to get a good feel. However, I wasn't too happy with our experience. After the Harry Potter tour we fancied a couple of drinks in the bar before going to the room. We headed to the bar and it was packed due to a Christmas party. My wife is 37 weeks pregnant so we didn't fancy a packed bar. We asked a member of staff if there was anywhere we could go for a coffee and were advised to come back in about 10 minutes because all the people will be moving into the function room. We thought that's fair enough and popped to the room. After about half an hour we went back down and the bar was empty. We asked for 2 coffee's and was told he couldn't so us a coffee because he would have to go to the kitchen and he told us to ask at reception. We asked at reception and was told there's coffee in the room. It just felt as though they couldn't be bothered. There is a nice little pub called the Kings Head down the road, however that wouldn't sway me to stay at this hotel again.

The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is currently being renovated which I wasn't informed of prior to staying. Apart from wet paint though you wouldn't really know. The communal areas were lovely and traditional with stunning gardens that were huge. The rooms were okay, a little rundown in a few places but the rest made up for it. The shower was great and bathroom was lovely. They even left me a treat for my birthday which was so tasty. Breakfast was great (just one thing though, why cumberland sausages, whats wrong with a simple pork one) Was a good 20 minute drive from Watford Junction station but a 3 minute drive from the Warner Brothers/Harry potter studios.
