How the mighty have fallen. Have over the years stayed in many TLs, this has been the worst. Arrived to be told that the family room was not avaliable and that we had to have 2 single beds. Not what was ordered via the website. Cloda (not sure of the spelling) front desk did a sterling job to find us a suitable room, this along with the towels were the best part of the experience. The room looked tired with doors well past their best, shabby paintwork cracked bathroom tiles and NO body / shampoo despite the website stating there would be. We had trains rumbling by all night not the TLs fault but this led to us having little or no sleep. TL have gone the way of many low cost air carriers cutting costs and delivering a mediocre product. Some will say you get what you pay before this is the case.

We had booked a double room, after a long day travelling we found that we had been given a twin room instead. In the room, both the hand wash and the shower wash soap dispensors were empty. We did mention the issues to the receptionist the following morning who stated that a credit voucher would be issued but this has never been received.

Absolutley awful. Our first room had a leak from the extractor fan in the toilet, left a big pool of water on the floor, causing wife to slip and fall during the night. When we changed rooms, we were told it was clean. Got in there and there was a robotic hoover in the middle of the floor, out of charge........it had not finished hoovering. Someone had either stolen the batteries out of the tv remote or they hadn't been replaced. The Toby Carvery for breakfast charges extra for teas/coffees and the food is not good. The receptionist tried her best and was very helpful so thank you to her (Didn't catch her name.) Apparently this hotel had been refurbished recently but already looks and feels old and battered. Would not recommend to anyone. Only stay here in an absolute emergency!!!

It was okay. Very very tired building though, shame as it could be quite nice with a lick of paint and a little work. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wasn't particularly loud at night. The bathroom was a bit gross really, not dirty but lots of mould around the bath sealant; and the shower unit looked very old, who comes to a travelodge wanting a bath? Just fit walk in showers they'd be much nicer than clambering into a bathtub and having a disappointingly low pressure shower

Overall it was okay. I had to change rooms due to issues with the first room, shower didn't work. But the room was changed quickly once I reported it. It's location is fantastic being a short walk from the train station and the city centre.

Nice room “this time”, business trips for this hotel again. Compare the price have no better choice in city area. Next to restaurant and train station. Little noise, maybe the door have gaps. Nice staffs. Stay in winter time, room is warm not too cold. @Room 22x

No heating in the bathroom, it was freezing in there. According to reception people kept burning themselves on towel rail!!! I'm sorry but most hotels have signs warning it's hot, surely commonsense would prevail...

Close to the train station so a bit noisy. Another Travelodge that could do with some much needed investment and a lick of paint. Staff super friendly though. Stones throw away from the town shops etc. Car park is free if staying at the hotel.

Blimey! Creeking floorboards galore, the rooms are HUGE and very dated but spotless. Our room was a bit close to the front door and people came and went through the night. It was very noisy, making a good night sleep not very possible. It is conveniently located to the station and the parking is fantastic. We will certainly book a room here again when travelling abroad although we may sleep elsewhere.
