I went on holiday and I left my cat with them and she was ok looked after spoiled rotten my cat did not want to come back home with me when I went to pick her up I must understand when I did go on holiday I did take the dogs with me and the cat stayed with them but she was ok
We used Hickingwood boarding services for our cats for many years, both cats always settled in well and been looked after well by the lady. A trustworthy and reliable cattery.
Unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend this kennels. We left our dog for 1 week and from The start we were slightly uncomfortable to leave her. My husband dropped her off (10 mins late, which was completely our fault) but he was met with a bit of rudeness and was told he was unable to see where the dog would be staying. As we were running late we didn’t think too much of it and went on our holiday. No updates or messages. When we returned our flight was cancelled , then delayed and then stuck on the m25. We rang to see if she could keep our dog 1 more day and we were very pleased she said yes. We were told to be on time the following day. The following day we had a phone call 10 mins before the 10-11am collection time asking if we were going to be on time. ( we are not children.) When our dog came home I was shocked to see her condition. She has stayed in many kennels before and never have I seen her that way. Ever. Stress malting was an understatement. She had lost a fair amount of weight also. I wish I had taken a picture straight away but I instantly got to work making her look better and fed her asap. I contacted the kennels asking if she ate ok and mentioned that we had also been over charged for her stay ……. This was confirmed we were over charged and then I had to initiate a refund from the owner who didn’t ask for my bank details. Over 2 weeks later and we are still waiting on our refund. Lastly my husband collected our dog just as some sort of environmental agent showed up at the kennels. I hope it was just a check up and not because of any reports. Very disappointed to write this but we wouldn’t use this service again

Lovely owner, very accommodating. Haven't seen the accommodation due to covid restrictions but, I've used them three times and would do so again.
We used Hickingwood last week for the first time while we were abroad. Our usual kennels and cattery were fully booked, so after carefully combing through reviews of various businesses we settled here. They took our dog and two cats for the week and all three of our animals came home happy, clean and healthy. Can't really ask for more than that. We will be using Hickingwood again in future.
Amazing cattery, brilliant proprietor, would highly recommend, my cats will definitely stay here again
