I went to lovisa to get the seconds done in my ears the two staff members on shift at that time was lovely and very informative and quick. I went the day after due to this pleasant experience got get more piercings, the time I arrived there was only one staff member on the floor and she explained that as soon as her other staff member came back from her break I would be able to have the piercings and I was looking to wait around half an hour, I browsed while in store. The staff member came back from her break and I was still stood waiting for only the staff member who told me to wait half an hour then went on her break. I then asked what time would they be ready as I had already been waiting around 45 minutes, I was then told to wait a further 20 minutes till I could be pierced. The lady who pierced me was lovely however the vibe seemed off this has completely put me off the idea of returning.

Bought 3 pairs of earrings on an offer, one pair broke immediately while taking them off the card. Tried returning the broken ones for a replacement and they couldn’t exchange without a manager- had to wait 2 hours!!! As if they don’t have someone in the shop at all times who can deal with refunds or exchanges!

I had my ears pierced when i was 11 (not in Lovisa), then had my seconds pierced at Lovisa when I was 14, the fact that they pierced me whilst I was sat on a chair in the middle of the shop floor should've been a red flag. She also pierced me with gold coloured earrings when I had asked for silvered ones, she even double checked with me before doing it and somehow still got it wrong. I also had to change them before the recommended time as I noticed early that they were going to embed, as the earrings were too short, studex do offer long post earrings, which is the length recommended for anyone that isn’t a small child, but they obviously don’t use them. Now that I am 17 and am certified to pierce using a studex pushthrough system, the same system they use, I pierced my thirds. Well that was 5 weeks ago and I've noticed that they look uneven. My fiancé (who is a trainee needle piercer and also certified to pierce using a studex pushthrough system) measured the distance between my firsts and seconds and realised that the distance between them are completely different and now my thirds are way too close to my seconds on one ear. The thirds are in the perfect place and even, but Lovisa did not measure the distance between my firsts and where my seconds would be pierced properly, resulting in them being uneven. Now that I look back, I don't even think she used a measuring tool, but due to me being younger and not knowing a lot about piercing at the time, I didn't think twice about it. Anyway, there's no way my seconds will completely close up now, no matter how long I leave them out for, as they've been pierced for almost 3 years. So unless i want to have a cosmetic surgeon stitch the hole up, I’m stuck with these. You should also know that a Studex piercing course takes roughly 30 minutes to an hour and they do not teach you how to correctly measure the ears or how to ensure they are even, how to ensure the earrings used are a suitable length for the customer, etc, that is usually taught by someone experienced within the business. in my case, my boss taught me as she has 30 year of experience with piercing. Anyway, the staff here have no idea what they are doing and are very inexperienced. Do not get your children’s ears pierced here, or your own if you want good results and also don’t want your earrings to get stuck in your earlobes :) (photos comparing my ears attached)

Ella was so friendly and kind, she did our lobe piercings today and helped us find everything in store, she had so much knowledge of the different choices of jewellery. Overall a very nice experience ❤️

Absolutey gross , I went to get my ears pierced not long ago. They used a gun to pierce my ear for starters. All of a sudden a few days later the earring is stuck inside my ear. I’ve got massive swelling on both ears. Do not reccomend lovisa. Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting using guns to pierce ears. I am a body piercer myself, I removed 2 earrings in-bedded on someones ear which made a crater type hole in the ear, red and sore, bleeding, Had to change it for them. Staff unhelpful and said not to change it as swelling is normal. Swelling is normal but in bedding isnt! AVOID AVOID AVOID

Stocks many different kinds of jewellery and piercing products (quality varies in our experience - from an item that was broken in the box to ones that seem more robust than expected for the price). Shop is quite cramped and there's not a lot of room to maneuver with wheelchairs or pushchairs.
