Popped in for a spontaneous lunch with friends after visiting the Christmas market. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Our server was Grace S who made our impromptu lunch a great experience. Will definitely be visiting again.
Called in today after a hectic day round town. It was extremely busy but a young lady called Grace S was quick to greet us and get us seated. Grace couldn’t have done enough to help us feel welcome and not rushed despite the restaurant being busy. She was happy to go through the menu and specials with us as we have not been to the restaurant before. She even asked if we had any allergies. Quick, efficient, friendly service with a smile. Thank you Grace. Would highly recommend to anyone. Food was served quickly and was amazing. Will visit again for sure.
Been to different Franco Manca. This in particular had less than stellar service. 1) there was no espresso available because their coffee machine was getting cleaned. Not a deal breaker but inefficient management/no back up plan. 2) staff a bit immature. Issue happen where the pizza maker had to run to the back and ensure everything was safe with the oven. Made a scene, worried customers, and the waiters standing around laughing like it was funny. 3) pizza maker was playing with the sour dough bread for appetizers. Make me think because we just had some. 4) they had to keep the door open letting g in the cold freezing the tables in the front. One host said it was because there were too many people inside and another said because the C2 alarm was too high and had to wait till it went down. We asked to move to a table further in and they said the tables were reserved. No party even came and more tables freed up and they still had us suffer by the door till someone finally decided to close it. 5) staff just very young, immature the way they joke in front of customers. 6) Another pizza maker ran outside for some errand and came back directly into the kitchen to work with food. Overall seemed like kids trying to run the business for dad while he’s off on his yacht. Food not the problem. Pick better talent or train staff better.
Warm and inviting atmosphere at Franco Manca. Was lovely to see lighthearted and friendly teamwork. Special compliments to the chef Luigi for the extra effort on our Nutella & Biscoff crumb pizza.
Superb salads and pizzas. Highly recommend. A very busy place full of students due to a pizza offer. Grace provided attentive and polite service. The Francas OG Margherita pizza was especially awesome. One star lost for the optional service charge. Really no need to do this practice. Let the diners decide.
Staff 10/10 the manager noticed my wife was taking oil off the pizza off my sons ! She came over and said we will make you a fresh one with out the drizzle of the oil ! This pizza place is well priced with amazing toppings which they are very generous! The pizza chefs know exactly what they are doing making the base amazing not burning it & cooking the cheese & toppings to perfection! The restaurant is amazing in the arch of the bridge truly unique! Fantastic detail making you feel in Italy ! While visiting this unique Roman City of Bath stop off & enjoy a pizza or some other of their delights!
This restaurant was open and available for seating on a Monday night when most of the restaurants in the city centre were full. So I appreciate Franco Manca for that. Service was good and attentive, and food arrived quickly. The pizza was good but honestly, felt like both could have used more cheese and sauce- at times, it felt like I was just eating burnt crust. Anyway, it got the job done and we were full but the food probably could have been prepared a little more effortfully, as far as distribution of flavor. On another note, the organic lemonade is delicious. Yum!
Really good food today. Just walked in. On the off chance, and were seated and eating with about 20 minutes, which is great considering every pizza is made from scratch in front of you. Had a couple of really nice pizzas, potato on a pizza is a new one to me and it will be a favourite from now on. Service was excellent, helpful but not in your face. Really good no alcohol beer, as well. Highly recommended.
