Rich and flavorful ramen! First time Iβve been there I had the seafood hell ramen, it was delicious but suuuuper spicy, even the Mexicans on the table were struggling haha; but I felt in love with the lychee mocktail. Second time we had many delicious sushis as starters, my favorite one being the scallops one, and I ordered the black garlic ramen which was perfect!! The staff is friendly but I guess a bit overworked as the place is always so full.

I was craving ramen for dinner while in Edinburgh, which probably had something to do with the cold weather. Our choices near the hotel were between Wagamama and Maki & Ramen. We chose the latter due to the fact that I'd never heard of this UK chain of Japanese restaurants. I also found the menu to be unique with the dietary-friendly halal, vegetarian, and GF offerings. Not many Japanese restaurants have that. We were welcomed in with the sound of a taiko drum. They tap the drum when entering and before being seated. I found it odd at first, but now I understand after reading about this traditional welcome. The restaurant was filling up fast. We thankfully were seated in a 2 seater booth by the window. It was completely full by the time we left. All the ramen choices looked fantastic. I've never seen such a huge variety of unique flavors. I was drawn to the Shio Yuzu and Shio Truffle. It was a tough decision, but the truffle won that battle. It ended up being a great choice. The truffle really brings out the flavor of the rice in the noodles. Although, these noodles were already pretty special. I think they make them here. There was a good amount of chicken, and that ramen egg was absolutely delicious. A perfectly made custardy yolk. I should have ordered an additional one. My husband's Spicy Chicken Teriyaki with rice was good, but not great. His words, not mine. I didn't try it because I'm not a fan of teriyaki sauce. The chicken gyoza were also pretty good. I was also super happy with the Yuzu Ice Tea from the Mocktail menu. It was very mojito-esque without the rum. A refreshing drink. The service was good. The atmosphere is very lively. I didn't really get a chance to take pictures inside. The dΓ©cor is lovely, but more enjoyable when it's less crowded. I'd revisit it again if ever in this region. I may have to try their Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen next time.

βLoved eating here! The ramen was rich and tasty, with perfectly cooked noodles, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. Staff were super nice and the atmosphere felt casual but lively. Great place for a cozy dinner thatβs not too pricey.β

Excellent sushi, some of the best I had in Scotland. Smallish sized place with some nice window seats. Staff was attentive and friendly. They kept the water coming too, a bonus on a hot day. Rolls were on the large side too, so quite filling. Well worth the stop.

We always enjoy sushi and some Ramen. Was looking for more of a flavor bomb out of the Chilli oil and pork but it was still filling and satisfying. Date nights are always better with noodles. FYI for anyone who's touring through like us. There is a time limit on how long you get to sit and enjoy your meal. We had 1.5hrs.

Great little spot for Japanese food, would definitely recommend the katsu curry, everything was well portioned and the venue was bright and welcoming. There is a good mix of sushi and and warm dishes so something for everyone. Staff service was amazing - so friendly, attentive engaging and welcoming! Would definitely go back!

Great service , food and great staff here. Very comfortable with the menu and checked if anyone had allergies before taking orders. Separate allergy menu was provided straightaway. Food was fantastic and fast service. Thank you Foundbridge Maki & Ramen for a lovely evening and hopefully will visit Edinburgh in the near future.
