I stopped here and thought it was the sweetest gem of a place with great vibe and cool music overlooking the ocean. I still dream of the chai and chocolate chip shortbread I had here.

Awful Experience I actually got coffee and cake here a few years ago and remember it being not very good and overpriced; I didn’t leave a review at the time. However while enjoying a walk today my 3 year old son needed the loo and I went to ask if there was a toilet he could use. The man serving just smirked and said “only for paying customers” as if taking delight in denying a 3 year old the use of the toilets. I then had to pay £3.50 for a carton of drink so my son didn’t wet himself. I was actually thinking I should try the cafe again to see if is has improved since I last went but I definitely won’t be giving them my custom now.

Great location but a total rip off. £9.00 for two tins of drink. And may I add not even a glass to drink it from.

An absolute rip off. 2 average toasties and a Diet Coke = £27. Read the reviews before you sit down to be pillaged. They claim on Tripadvisor that “Trolls target this business”, truth be told, all the latest reviews were a reflection of our visit. Boycott until they get their act together and stop ripping people off!

Great location on the beach front. Prices are a little steep but there aren't any other options on that part of the waterfront. If sitting in, able to use toilets etc. The peach iced tea and coffee were good.

Order outside in the cold, wait outside to pay before sitting inside. Once inside, it's hard to really get any atmosphere or character from the concrete floor, astroturf rug, or patio furniture. The Costco muffins were decent, but don't expect a plate. Quite expensive too considering how little it offers edit: I see the owner responded. I'm not a troll, I'm a local resident, and my review was genuine. Never going back, and I suggest you don't waste your time

This place is literally shambles. Very expensive. Not that great quality/nothing special. Plain staff. Weird weird weird. Just weird functioning. NO indoors seating. Visiting as a group, they only let one person at a time and ONLY after paying in advance. EVERYTHING in takeaway containers (not very eco friendly especially if you’re having your stuff just there), they didn’t even let me use my own reusable cup!!! Come on, it’s not 2020 as if we were in the middle of a pandemic again. Even if it’s the only place around (probably why they’re still running…) do not bother to come here. And do NOT dare to delete my review, because I will put it up again and again if you do so. We’re not trolls, we’re genuine people who just hate terrible service. Don’t go on deleting bad reviews just because you don’t agree with someone, that’s petty and worse too. Hope you do something about this cause this place used to be great.

Lovely toasty would highly recommend, very cheesy! My daughter loved her hot dog too. Coffee was decent too. Fairly pricey, but given the location and how busy it is, not surprising a toasty costs eight quid. Currently it's only taking orders outside and you have to sit on beach wall. But the set up is very good overall. No toilets here.

If you feel like having an overpriced factory icecream & coffee on a fenced terrace and you love to read and follow multiple instructions before sitting down, than that‘s your place! We were wondering how a nice looking garden café in such a lovely location on a wonderfully sunny day can be so empty… but by the time we found out about it it was already too late. Your card is being charged before they let you inside and sit down and before you have the chance to realise that you pay at least double for food in single use containers. They don’t even bother giving you a spoon with your icecream, not even on request! We came for a visit to Edinburgh from Germany and had no idea about the loads of seriously bad reviews. The setting was so inviting though, and no alternative either, that we probably would have given it a try anyway. Probably that is what keeps the motor running.

It’s great place to grab a coffee and snack. The staff are friendly. The coffee and cake are normal but a bit expensive than others cafe in The city center
