   I was a bit wary as it’s tucked in a residential area but it seems a really nice area. It was a bit of an uphill walk to get there from our hotel down in the town but I came through the park with the dog and it was nice. Weather was good so we sat in the garden which is enclosed but down some stairs and fine with the dog.

   We didn’t have a reservation but the waitress was kind enough to let us sit at a high top to eat. We had the Sunday roast beef and roast chicken with all the sides. Wow…it was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and very flavorful. The veggies were particularly well seasoned. We then had rhubarb crunch and sticky toffee pudding and it was absolutely delicious as well. Excellent service by the bar staff who checked on us several times.

   A solid Sunday roast in Bristol. I had the nut roast which had a lot flavour, highlight was the Yorkshire pudding & cauliflower cheese. Make sure you ask for extra gravy as you only get a little. Roasties weren’t that good, a bit hard and not crispy on the outside or fluffy inside.

   Good overall roast dinner, beef was melt in the mouth with nice veggies. My only little niggle was the roast potatoes weren't quite cooked enough and not crispy or fluffy outside. Nice pint of Neckoil and good overall service. Recommended.

   Food is great, limited options! We could only eat there after out second try! The first we got there around 2 pm and they didn’t have enough food. Since it was nice and sunny, we were looking forward to sit in the garden, but apparently they do not serve there! I honestly don’t know why they have it. Waitresses were kind, it took sometime for them to clear our table! But overall the food was good. It is an amateur environment, with homemade good food. It seems like they don’t wish or desire to make much effort as fat as the service is concerned! I believe they can afford that. In summary food is good, service can be better! Zero covid measures in case you ar concerned with any of that.

   We come to The Knowle on a Sunday for the Sunday Lunch Roast. The options we had was beef, turkey and pork belly. We ordered the pork belly, beef and half beef (children's portion) All were delicious and I really enjoyed the selection of vegetables to accompany the roast. We opted for a side of pigs and blankets and for dessert we chose a dark chocolate and peanut butter tarte (tasted Amazing I'm told) Speed of service was brilliant and the price is quite reasonable for the quality of the food and services your paying for. Were be back!!

   Lovely food. Limited Sunday lunch choices but artfully presented and tastes like it should. Pork or beef roasts are shown in the pictures. Beef shredded in the Yorkshire tasted divine.
