Exceptional - accommodating staff, great location and half/half pasta on offer! [invite but always honest reviews]
My mum and I's experience at PepeNero was excellent as always. Despite turning up 30 mins early at the peak of Fringe season, our table was ready and awaiting us, which was as pleasant as it was unexpected as it's a busy wee restaurant. The service is on always on-point and personable. The pizzas are so outstanding that everything else in the world dissolves into nothingness except the perfectly cooked chips and consistently sumptuous glass of montepulciano. Love it!
Beautiful restaurant in a lovely location with great service and an extensive selection of dishes to choose from. The food was perfectly delicious! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Edinburgh.
Our best meal in Edinburgh so far. I had the vegan option of risotto with zucchini, peas, peppers. Simple salad as a start. Fast and friendly service. We made reservations to come back in 2 days before we left.
True family run restaurant. Been here 2 times now. Both times amazing. Food is so tasty and delicious. And the staff are so welcoming. I really enjoyed coming both times. Menu choice is great and plenty to choose to drink too. Small cosy restaurant. Parking is a bit of a pain, we don't stay locally, but worth to pay the parking (once you find a space) to eat here. Will definitely keep coming back!
The loveliest, family Italian restaurant, found by surprise! The atmosphere is wonderful, with candles and fairy lights dotted all over the interior. The food had a home-made feel, we loved every dish! The garlic bread was delicious, thick and flavoursome, not to mention our divine spaghetti dishes. Even the ice-cream was lush, especially the rich chocolate! With friendly and attentive service to top it off, we were delighted. I would highly recommend a visit, especially after a visit to the botanical gardens and shops just a short walk away.
Food was ok but not the best Italian we had in Edinburgh. The carbonara had cream in them (?), the pizza was ok. The melon used for the starter was tasteless unfortunately.
Italian food is always delicious.! First of all, staffs are super gentle and friendly. Pizza and pasta are delicious and even the sauce is amazing.!
After a stroll around the city, we got hungry and this place in particular caught our attention on a nice sunny day. We ordered a margarita pizza and an appetiser . Simply delicious and the service was very nice too. I’d come here again :)
We've been here a number of times, now. Their food is simple but so satisfying. Our family favorite is the lasagna. Even the basic broccoli side I bought this week was just... elevated. And they're good people. I love stopping here for lunch al fresco as I shop Stockbridge.
