As I have been to Thailand and have tasted the original dishes I can say that the food was exceptionally delicious, full of rich flavors that felt both authentic and carefully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and offered outstanding service throughout our visit. On top of all that, the prices were very reasonable, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai cuisine and heartfelt hospitality. * We had the gai dusit which is the meaning of a sweet and sour meal, the pad kaprao with duck and from appetizers the satay gai!! Everything totally recommended.

What a delightful place. Without a reservation they managed to get me a place on a Thursday. And I loved it. Best pad thai I ever had. And those sweet potatoes fritters... omg. Highly recommend!!

This place was incredible for the food and service. The best Thai food we have ever had in the UK. Highly recommend. Only a couple of pictures as too busy demolishing the food!

Surely without doubt the best Thai in Edinburgh. Dusit has been in Edinburgh for nearly 25 yrs, my goodness I am getting old. Their pad thai and green curry best in town. Go visit but not on the day I want to go in case they are too busy. Dear reader if you are comparing reviews don't go to Rosa Thai which is round the corner when best in Edinburgh is 50 yards away.

As someone from Thailand, I could never thought I’d say this: Surprisingly the best Pad Thai I’ve had isn’t in Thailand but it’s in Edinburgh! Right from this restaurant Dusit. If you never ate Pad Thai before but you’ve come to Dusit, well this isn’t a should try but it’s a must try or if you already love Pad Thai well you know what to do. Pad Thai is SO GOOD, like THE BEST IN THE WORLD. Tom yum clear soup is good too. Miss this place already and I will come back for sure!

I realized that many locals considered Dusit as their favourite Thai restaurant in Edinburgh, that raised my anticipation. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the food - they were decent, just seems not matching the very positive comments that I have seen and been told. There were definitely positive things about what we had - well fried and crispy tempura batter and spring roll as starters, tasty red curry sauce and the best coconut rice we had in the city. However the main ingredients of all the dishes - shrimp in the starter, duck in the curry and the stir-fried beef - were rather bland in taste and somehow over-seasoned. So we didn’t considered the food as great overall, and surprisingly the sauces didn’t taste too authentically Thai (not necessarily a bad thing though). Nevertheless the service was great and staff were really friendly. We had good wine there as well.

Thai restaurant peacefully hides from the crowd at thistle street. Their starters set is amazing and very authentically local Thai for me. Some sauces reminded of the sauces I had since childhood in Bangkok. The main course is alright but the starters steal the show for me, highly recommended. The restaurant is not small but it can be noisy and loud with customers so it might not be the best place for the romantic serenity.

Second visit to Dusit. Great food. Lunch menu for £16:95 is good value with plenty of choices including fried beef, duck Thai red curry( supplement £3 for duck though). Excellent service from friendly staff. A nice find on Thistle Street away from the bustle but only 5 minutes from George Street. Definitely recommend.

The best Thai restaurant I've been to in Edinburgh. Truly sensational. The staff were amazing to us as well. Extremely flavourful, every single bite. Went for the banquet for 4 and it was plenty, even had to take some home. 5 mains and starters.

Fantastic food, great ambiance and lovely host. Loved the private room that held our group of 6. So many nice dishes to choose from which made me definitely wanting to return to try them all. Value for money too as you get a good amount for price charged. Had a shrimp starter and a stir fry main with coconut rice. Yummy!
