Hands down the best breakfast place on the go for anyone coming to Edinburgh for a short trip. location is super strategic, right in front of the railway station. I had the alpine breakfast sandwich with amazing flavors! Sausage, eggs, cheese and bacon all together in a soft bun. I strongly recommend it. The rabies breakfast was great too. The interior design simulates an old brewery.

An amazing dining and drinks experience. Feels so festive and Xmas decorations are lovely. Staff are engaging, helpful and so knowledgeable. Great choice of wine.

Amazing food - the steak was delicious and I loved the experience of making the meat on your own. Very friendly customer service.

Attended for a work Christmas event. The majority of the night was good, however service was a let down. It was evident that they wanted to get us moved on as there was a sitting afterwards. A couple of time plates were taken before people were finished. And when asked if done, came back within no more than 2 minutes to check again. I appreciate you need the table back for round 2, but maybe more time allocation or getting food out a little bit earlier would save tables being rushed. Other than that, the quality and quantity of food was great, the live band was great and a great setting for a Christmas meal. Edit: One final thing I wanted to add, we paid for the event ahead of time, however when we received the bill there was a service charge on top of the 400 pounds we had already spent. There was around 25 quids work of drinks that needed settling that came to near 60 quid. This is extremely cheeky in my opinion. I would suggest this is looked at, we assume that the service charge is built into the package cost since we paid ahead of time. What if we had no drinks to settle? Would we have been expected to pay 12.5% of 400, I would hope not.

Lovely restaurant. Mac and Cheese was good but the sauce could have been cheesier. Excellent drinks menu and the coconut rice pudding was yummy. Great location as it is right opposite the train station. It is huge inside with great live music and fabulous decor. Only downside is when group bookings cannot be guaranteed to be sat together.

Stopped in at Brewhemia across from Waverley Station while waiting for the midnight sleeper train. A reservation was required due to it being a busy Friday night, so we sat at the bar for a drink while waiting for our reservation. We were seated in a comfortable both and ordered a glass of wine to share. To eat we shared the North Sea Fish & Chips and a side of MAC & CHEESE. The menu really needs an refresh as the venue gives the appearance of an upscale pub but the menu is German food with a bit of everything mixed in. We asked the waitstaff about the desserts and they said it was a pass as they are not usually ordered. We tried a dessert anyone, still not sure what it was called, but it was a no to appeasing. The service he was really great and the atmosphere is nice.trip

Brewhemia is a very popular, lovely venue which is well worth a visit. Attended as a group of 8 (thankfully having booked ahead, which is essential) and had a great time. The menu is absolutely spot on and delivers exactly what you'd want and more, with a creator twist and high quality ingredients. The schnitzels are fantastic as are the self-cook steaks, which really add to the experience. The beer selection is top notch and they're well-kept. Guest beers appear in copper tanks above the bar and are labelled with extra information like how far away it was brewed, which was interesting to see. Staff were very attentive and friendly, in spite of the venue being absolutely rammed full on the night that we visited. Food was served quickly, too. I would definitely recommend a visit to Brewhemia when you're in Edinburgh.
