   Every time my dad visits we always book a table here for sunday lunch! it’s incredible every time, we’ve never had bad service, and the portions are large for the money! worth it every time. the first time we came it was very last minute, no booking, pouring rain, and they still snuck us in for the best meal ever and dessert. 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area!

   Came here for a group of friend’s Christmas meal as previous meals have always been excellent. Lived up to expectations. Hannah was great (how she remembers the drinks orders I really don’t know), food was excellent and just the right portion sizes. Had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back

   This was our first visit and definetly ot our last! We loved atmosphere and decor of the pub and the fire was lit on a cold day -which was very nice. Breakfast was delicious. The only disspointment was waiting ages to be welcomed as the only member of staff was laying the fire and and she could see I was waiting by the bar and ignored me. Service was also very slow - just as well we weren't in a hurry!

   What a little gem this place is. Wonderful spacious rooms, super clean. Great fresh food and service from all staff - super friendly. I was travelling for work but would 100% recommend for anyone travelling socially? - also dog friendly- bonus! Only downside is the road noise. It is next to busy road.. which does down around 11pm however they do supply ear plugs just incase your a light sleeper! Would 100% stay again!

   We stayed here for one night and also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The dinner was very tasty, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also good — a nice bathtub and a strong, hot shower. Unfortunately, the hotel is located right next to a busy main road, and the room door didn’t close properly, leaving a gap at the top where cold air and noise came through. The windows were also poorly insulated. Earplugs were provided, but that didn’t help much. Our room had a connecting door to the next room, and we could hear our neighbors talking and laughing late into the night — not ideal for light sleepers. When we arrived, the room was cold, and the heating took quite a while to warm it up. At dinner, an “optional service fee” was automatically added to the bill, but we were told it’s always charged, even though the menu says otherwise. We also didn’t receive the promised birthday discount. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff were very friendly, but not everything was included — some options required an extra charge, which felt a bit misleading. All in all, a mixed experience — some really nice touches, but too many small issues for us to stay here again.

   Can't review the restaurant and the hotel separately, but they are both amazing and get 5 stars each! The hotel is very comfortable. It's clean and spacious, and they're welcoming of pets. Aggie and Gus Gus had a great time. Love that there's a cafetiere in the room. The restaurant (where breakfast is included) is amazing too. We had dinner there, and it was delicious and quite reasonable. The breakfast was superb too! Lots of choice and prepared fresh and hot!

   The people who all work and run this place are the best. They’re friendly, upbeat, funny and kind and really made our stay. The food was great, delicious big breakfasts. The location was great for us walking The Cotswold Way. The only suggestion would be for better bedding and softer pillows. My friends had no complaints so maybe it was just me. Overall though, would absolutely book again (and just ask next time about a pillow as I’m sure they would have changed it).

   Fantastic base for the surrounding area. Room was clean, comfy and spacious. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with a wide choice available. We had two evening meals which were both delicious. Nice decor and atmosphere in pub. Quiet too considering the location is between roads and pub. Only 10 minutes from Lansdown Park and Ride for visiting Bath for the day. Will be back!

   Very good reception on arrival. Very good value for accommodation. Food was also very good and well priced. All round excellent service. Suggest you put non-slip mats in the bath for getting in and out of the shower - went my full length on the slippery bath. No other issues.

   This was last minute for us on our last night before returning to Australia. Staff were wonderful and welcoming and we really enjoyed dinner. Some different but excellent choices on the menu. We all had a great breakfast. Our room was perfect. Kingsize bed, lovely linens and towels, excellent hot walk in shower. Thank you for a lovely stay and we would highly recommend.
