Lived in the area for years and for some reason never had food from here. Had a great beef and mixed vegetables dish, really fresh tasting and thoroughly enjoyable, will definitely go back and price was really good. Thoroughly recommend.
Prices are 20% higher than in the pictures. High quality meal, definitely going back.
Absolutely the worst chinese food I've ever had, Chicken was like leather, Even the battered chicken was more batter than chicken and tough. Overpriced and rude obnoxious staff. Would rather eat my own foot.
I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls and end up with sweet and sour Hong Kong style!? How can they get this wrong?? Plus I think I was overcharged. But obviously can't prove that now.
Lovely friendly lady. Just had food and it was lovely. All cooked from fresh. When I rang to say I think I was missing sing a spring roll I thought I ordered two she checked and said no just one, polite on the phone. Thanks magic wok ur food is lovely from Julie x
Was looking forward to a fantastic Chinese meal after reading all the positive reviews. Staying down the road at Bath Mill Lodge this was the nearest Chinese. Pleasant lady who served me and very friendly. Chicken and sweet corn soup was bland and watery, spare ribs had no taste, chicken satay had cucumber in the sauce?!? Then the main course sweet and sour chicken and salt and chilli chicken was so tough and had no flavour. If this place is supposed to be the best place in Bath I dread to think what the other ones are like!
Not as good as I was hoping. Thought we'd try a different Chinese for a change and this one had good reviews but it was a bit of a let down to be honest. The staff are friendly, but the portions were quite small. Only 6 prawns in prawn chow mein, only small egg fried rice available, no mixed starter option. Seaweed didn't taste like it has from everywhere else- not as nice, and had a lemon chicken dish that was so-so; not much chicken in it compared to other places. Also they charged for prawn crackers and most places throw them in for free. I think we'll stick to our usual place.
