A true sign of quality in Edinburgh! I was so happy to find Origin Coffee here—seeing their name is always a sign of quality. I found them on the Google Maps 'Top List' for Edinburgh, and it is there for a reason! The coffee is extraordinary—classic drinks done to a true specialty standard. They also serve amazing pastries; honestly, the kind you dream of for an early morning breakfast. The interior is the perfect balance of cool loft style and cozy comfort. Love it. Love it.

One of the well-known specialty coffee roasters in the UK, and they opened their first Edinburgh branch just last year. The store is not big, with a simple yet refined feel to the decoration. I also see plenty of students studying hard. You can choose your beans—each option clearly lists the origin, processing method, and cupping score. Choosing a specialty bean comes with a £1 surcharge.

The coffee and hot chocolate taste good, but the portion was a bit small. They were served with tap water, which is good. During lunch time the place is very noisy, not suitable for talking or working.

Great specialty coffee shop. Brewing pour overs, and espresso, as well as interesting matcha and cold brew drinks. The affogato was so creamy and delicious and the pastries have a stranglehold on my psyche. The space itself is gorgeous and relatively spacious. Definitely a do not miss for the coffee lovers and snobs moving through Edinburgh. All their coffees are also served with cute info cards and it's just a whole vibe

I’ve been coming to this Origin location since it’s opening and I am a fan of their coffee range and matcha. I will say there have been occasions where my drinks have not been to the usual standard and it was a little disappointing. The staff are nice but sometimes It isn’t very welcoming in there and feels more like a laptop café. Worth a try for sure.

Overall, it's a cool place! I got the latte and it was a well brewed coffee. Also, the portion of the food you pay for are big as well. They don't have really heavy food menu on this shop, so it's perfect for those who wants to eat bread or pastries. The decor is on point and I had a good time with my friend in this shop :)

Got given a voucher for the Introduction to Specialty coffee course and it was great fun! The trainer was really knowledgeable and covered a lot of really interesting topics. It was nice to get the experience of different brewing methods and to learn more about tasting coffee, origins, etc. We got some free coffee to take home as well which was much appreciated. Will definitely be popping back in at some point to sit down for a coffee.

Amazing experience. Beautiful stylish interior with places for both larger parties or if you are on your own and want to just read a book. Very nice and friendly staff. Great specialty coffee. Especially the pour over V60 filter from anaerobic zambia was amazing. Would come back and would recommend! 10/10!
