Absolutely the best fish and chips we’ve had in Edinburgh! The burgers were also delicious and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere in the afternoon was cozy and relaxed, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Amazing! Probably the best food I ate in Edinburgh! The lamb pie was absolutely amazing. Perfect pastry keeping the insides warm. Flavourful. I was surprised by how much I liked the veggies, super buttery and creamy, roasted to perfection. Fish and chips were fried perfectly as well. Awesome!! Service was very friendly, highly recommend this spot!
This is a Great pub, they greeted us, we told them, if we were drinking or not, they gave us waters, and took our orders. Bar bites is the best way to go to get three items for £17. We ordered 2 orders of Haggis Bon bons (4 each order), and one order of Salt and pepper wings, and a side order of nachos. Haggis was delicious, had never had it before. When we had mentioned it at our hotel, our customer service representative has told us, this was the best place to see if we liked Haggis, she recommended The Fox and Faun, stated she loved the bon bons. So, if you want to try it, or find a choice of good appetizers, I would recommend this place. The food, I saw being brought out to other tables, looked equally as good. There is a small patio to eat on, lots of booth seating.Staff was great, and kept checking on us.
Lovely pub. We went there for lunch and we felt like at home. Staff is more than kind and the food is absolutely stunning. We had fish and chips and the pie of the day. Highly recommended!
My husband and I loved this pub!! We randomly stumbled in for drinks one afternoon because my husband had to use the bathroom and it quickly became our favorite pub! We are Americans and were expecting people to be snarky to us because, ya know, but Karyn (our bartender) was incredibly friendly and we had a great chat. She told us about their open mic night on tuesdays and it was great- everyone was talented! Then we came back later on during the week for lunch and it was delicious. The owner, Kym, is lovely! Great service, environment and food- what more can you ask for?!
We had an amazing time at the Fox and Faun. It had a great atmosphere, the food was incredible and well-priced too! The fish was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our server Ronan was attentive but not over bearing. We would definitely return if we come back to Edinburgh.
This place is amazing! Friendly staff and fast service. Good selection of beers, including local beers. I had the vegan nachos and the Buffalo cauliflower. The nachos were good but the Buffalo cauliflower was the best one I've had in 3 countries. 100% recommend this pub and definitely coming back myself.
I came to this pub following other bar suggestion and it was a great experience. Food is really gorgeous and burgers are fresh made using local beef. Ambiance atmosphere is nice and people were really friendly and communicative. The bar man is was a dedicated boy working hard to make us feel comfortable.
Some of the best bar food I've had in Scotland! The haggis balls were super tasty! The poutine was really good with wedges. The fish and chips were delicious and perfectly cooked! The beef burger was impossible to put down. It was very flavorful and juicy. The cocktails were excellent with great selection. The staff were very knowledgeable and the other patrons were great to talk with! The only thing that was negative was when they turned off pink floyd mid song to put on AC/DC which is obviously blasphemous. But otherwise, a great bar and restaurant that I look forward to visiting again!
Well priced with good pints, nice food (2 year old daughter loves the fish and chips) and nice staff. Happy to offer colouring pens for the kiddies and water for the doggies. Just far enough from town centre to not be busy-stressful (you know what I mean) but close enough to be at Prince's street with a few minutes walk. Will definitely come again!
