Four of us went for lunch. Two had a traditional afternoon tea which was very tasty and a good amount/variety of sandwiches and sweet treats. Enjoyed the lunch deal from which I chose the egg mayo sandwich (which are doorstop and well filled) a decaf tea and a chocolate with choc chip scone complete with cream and chocolate spread. A bowl of chips and latte were also enjoyed. Lovely cafe with friendly, attentive staff. Have visited before and will visit again.

The best scones I’ve ever had! Have visited here a few times now and the service and food doesn’t disappoint. Dog friendly too which is an added bonus!

A brilliant place to stop by for food, snacks and tea and cakes. Greeted by a friendly lady staff, who showed us upstairs to the pink room for our lunch - nicely decorated dinning area. There is an open terrace too, if you can brave the wasps and bees in this season. A good selection of hot food, tasty sandwiches, good portion sizes, the fruit scone was particularly popular on our table. Overall a wonderful dinning option

What an amazing place to stop for food, snacks, or just tea & cake. From the friendly greeting & being shown to our table on the terrace, the whole feel of the place is comforting, as from the outside it looks to be a small building, but there are tables on the ground & first floor, plus the terrace which is a real sun trap & gets very busy in those sunny days. It's all table service which is both easier & most pleasant as the young person taking our order was helpful & informative as we were looking to adapt our order for Gluten Free & Vegan. With no real time delay we enjoyed our choices of cream teas, cakes, tea, coffee & hot chocolate, no food was wasted or left by us, as there was no faults or complaints with our visit. We are planning to go back again real soon for breakfast & I am sure a cheeky slice of cake or two as the dessert display is most dangerous on your eyes, taste buds & definitely the waistline, oh well life is too short to not enjoy cake. Thanks to the full team working during our visit. 27/06/25 Today is our returning visit, I am sure of many more. After a long walk around Cheddar, you just have to stop for a break, maybe a cream tea, which we did today, with one of which needed to be Gluten Free. Another amazing visit for some excellent food, & what a great, warm, welcoming & friendly staff team they were again. A big Thank You. 13/07/25 : Another visit & a great meal. Today was for breakfast, a full breakfast which I fully enjoyed, the flavours were amazing, I can not fault this place. Another great visit & I am positive that we will return again soon. Many Thanks.

Day off for me and Mrs S so went to Cheddar with our 20 month old Labrador Albie. This place was extremely dog friendly, they gave us a booth, so with Albie we didn't disturb anyone. Albie was well behaved and got a bowl of water and a dog biscuit. Staff were super friendly and polite, nothing too much trouble. Bridget had an Americano and granary toast, I went for the hearty breakfast sandwich (sausage, bacon, friend egg and hash brown) with a latte. Food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. Last time we came was for afternoon tea. Both times have been great experiences definitely visit again.

We have been using some gift vouchers for afternoon tea in recent weeks. This was the best to date, beating The Ivy Bath! Good balance of savoury and sweet, plus an excellent pot of tea. Only negative from the day was the weather.

Lovely breakfast that was the highlight of our time in lovely Cheddar. The English breakfast was sublime, definitely splurge for the black pudding. And the cakes delicious and moist. Haven’t yet had a chance to try the afternoon tea but expect this would be great as wel

Excellent food, service and ambience. I had a ploughman's lunch which was amazing. And the scones were just as good. A group of us visited with children and were very satisfied all round. Could not recommend highly enough

This was my favourite place I visited whilst in cheddar. The food is absolutely amazing. What blew our socks off were the spiced scones with mince meat and clotted cream!!! Super affordable as well and the service was spot on.
