The location is beautiful and great for walks. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the reception staff wasn’t very welcoming upon arrival. When we ordered food, we were told the Sunday roast wasn’t available unless pre-booked, which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the meal we had was quite oily and didn’t sit well—I experienced stomach discomfort for the rest of the evening. Additionally, early morning noise from workers starting at 5:30 AM disturbed our sleep.

Lovely course which I couldn't enjoy properly because the management can't be bothered to time or marshall societies properly. Our group was held up for upto 5 minutes on every tee box leading to a 5.5 hour game. I wrote complaining about the situation and was completely ignored. Says it all!

Staff were really friendly on arrival checking in and throughout our stay. The location is right in the middle of golf course. We had the breakfast here which is reasonably priced and there’s a decent menu. It was good. Had one evening meal here as well. Lots of choice and the meals our group had they all enjoyed. Pizza was lovely. Good selection of drinks at the bar. The rooms are nice and clean. Bed is comfortable, was a sofa in our room nice bonus. Has all the amenities you need. It was the perfect location for our stay to explore the nearby area. Loads of parking.

I was there for a round of golf, lovely course but like many others needs some rain and was showing the signs of the recent hot weather. Tee's were very dusty and some greens had disease, but still a good day. Clubhouse very nice, but drinks more expensive than you would expect at a golf club. Food was good value for money.

Beautiful place to play golf, however, I had to stay as I was on a business trip. I'm more of a Walker and a lady of a certain age, being on my own, the room was clean but basic, I did feel a little uneasy as the front door came directly into the sleeping area, a curtain or something similar across would give a single woman a feeling of privacy. I also fancied going for a walk but found the path overgrown, this is the entrance to the public foot path, once past it it gets clearer after about 50 yards

Quite basic accommodation originally when i booked you could have an evening meal in the golf club resturant that wasn't possible would have understood if it had been a Monday but a Friday night? We were grateful we could have a breakfast but a choice of bacon would have been appreciated as not everyone likes smoked bacon.....thankfully we had a bab no bacon lol. would I book here again no sorry.....

Be aware. If you turn up to the Mendip golf club to use their accommodations for overnight stay after 9.45pm don’t expect anyone to be there. I arrived with my two daughter 14 and 11 , no rooms for the three of us to sleep in. The contact left is pointless as no one picks the phone up. Customer service. I left a message on the 22nd October to speak with the manager Emma, she was away, So spoke to Scott today 25th October [3 days later] however I did speak to Jackie who was very helpful[ thanks Jackie]. I was informed by Scott that he had issued me a refund and that the owner Mr Mqueller said that I shouldn’t get one. Also when I wanted to speak with the owner he would not and did not speak with customers. Very disappointing , looking forwards to relaxing in what looks like a lovely environment. If you do stay there, make sure you make contact before arrival. Thanks Andrew.

Nice golf course in Somerset. Played the main course but they have a short course too. Easier front nine than the back with good fairways and greens. Very welcoming, large clubhouse and pro shop with meals available and well stocked bar. Lodges available to stay and play.

Had a lovely stay here, while visiting family in the area, the staff were so helpful - we arrived to find out that hotels.com site had glitched during our booking and changed the date without us realising. The staff were so helpful and ensured they had space for us (much appreciated as we had travelled for 3hrs!) We had booked a late lunch there and were told we could check in after we'd had lunch. Great choice of menu and the food was delicious with good sized portions. Room was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast the following morning was also delicious and again a range for varied appetites. Our daughter is nearly 5 and although there is no children's menu there is food and portions suitable. My husband likes to play golf (as do I on occasion) and their policy of everyone being welcome was felt throughout our visit even though we didn't use these facilities We will definitely visit again - and might even bring the clubs next time. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
