I was a tenant, and throughout my year the agency was a very good communicator and kept me informed of inspections and any maintenance needed. However, once I handed in my notice, their communication went downhill. I woke one day to a home open occurring in my living room, the agent stated I had received an emailed prior notice, after double checking I confirmed I had not received an email. It was decided I would receive a call to arrange future home opens. My next call arranged two home opens at two different dates, the first went smoothly. The second I had the agent and visitors arrive an hour early. When confronted by the agent for the state of cleanliness, I asked why they had arrived early. I was told I had been emailed the earlier time and that it was two home opens, not just the one. I checked my emails and confronted the agent with the fact I had received no such email and only had the phone call with the later time. I was told that another agent was meant to email me confirming everything, and had not done so. This was unnecessary stress while moving.
This was my first time renting out property and due to the distances involved I decided to use a Property Management agent. I selected HF Letting and have absolutely no regrets in doing so. Great estate agents, have been very helpful in accommodating myself and my partner. Even when landlord decided to sell they helped find a similar property as close price to current and have been very transparent and open with us. I deal alot with Laura who is great for keeping me up to date with what is going on with the property or the new one and any time we have ever needed anything she's been the first one to get things sorted! Will be using them for a long time to come!
