   Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally complain about an extremely unpleasant and unacceptable experience I had at your JD Sports store in Cardiff City Centre on 28/12/2025. The behaviour of the staff on duty was unprofessional, dishonest, and completely below the standard I would expect from a reputable retailer. During my visit in the evening, I was trying on trainers and removed one of my own shoes, which subsequently went missing. I approached two male members of staff and politely asked for assistance in locating it. Shockingly, they refused to help and dismissed my request entirely. When I asked again—calmly and respectfully—explaining that this occurred within their store and that I needed staff support, they became rude and told me to look for it myself. I had already searched thoroughly and made this clear to them. Only after I became visibly upset and raised my voice, demanding they act professionally and take responsibility, did they finally agree to look. Unsurprisingly, they found my shoe shortly afterwards. This raises serious concerns as to why assistance was initially refused and only provided after confrontation. Despite this distressing incident, I attempted to continue shopping. I asked for the other pair of shoes I had previously been trying on. I was told—very bluntly—that the item was not in stock, even though I had earlier been informed that it was available. I strongly suspected dishonesty. To confirm this, I asked my brother to approach the same staff member and request the exact same pair. He was immediately told it was in stock and was given the shoes—unaware that he was with me. This deliberate inconsistency and dishonesty were deeply upsetting and humiliating. I felt disrespected as a customer and appalled by the lack of professionalism, integrity, and basic customer service. I am extremely disappointed by how I was treated and believe this matter warrants serious attention. I would like to formally raise a complaint, receive an explanation for this behaviour, and request a meeting or response from the store manager regarding how this issue will be addressed.    Prices were good but I couldn’t stay in the store, there was a DJ at the front of the shop, the noise was unbelievable!. Don’t mean to sound old, I’m only 50, but I had to leave, not an atmosphere for shopping. Money lost, I really would have spent money but hated every second I was in there.

   Had a horrible experience in store today. Asked to try on two pairs of trainers. They left myself and my young child sat for 20 minutes before telling us they did not have either in stock in my size, yet the woman Sat to my left tried on one of the two brands in my size and did not want them, yet they were no longer in stock when I asked moments later.

   Dear Owen I have read your heartfelt and tragic story detailing your trip to JD and I absolutely agree the hooligans that run that place give no respect for any of us older generations and they will regret it. I hope you are able to get your dress fixed back to how it was and I highly advise you do keep your grandson away from these types of places like you have said. Alexander signing out

   I was scared for my life as soon as I stepped foot through the doors, first thing that hit my ears was some filth they call music with cuss words and explicit language, next thing you know I was being followed around the store by some badly dressed young lads who need to learn to start picking their pants up. I will be advising my own grandson from now on that he is not to hang about in these types of establishments, as i didn’t find the clothes in this so called “shop” appealing to any people of my age especially, as one thing to mention i had a nasty fall going up the very narrow escalator with one man right infront of me watching the whole thing unfold but nowhere near offering to help me up, leading to me catching my flowery dress in the escalator making it rip and ruining my outfit for my hopeful adventure to pillars restaurant.

   Horrible experience. Went there to buy few things. After grabbing 3 items we have been followed to the changing room. (Assuming) manager rudly asked another member of staff to watch us. When we finished trying things out he came himself and grabbed things out of our hands. After asking him if there is any problem, he rudly said "are you going to buy it?!" - we explained that we want to get one out of three things. But we left shop without buying anything after being followed again to the rail we took things from.

   AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! When I left the store, having bought nothing, I was followed into a shop by a relentless member of staff. They forced me back to the store to check my bag thoroughly. Their attitude was disgusting, thought I was an easy target and made me feel like a criminal.

   Horrible shopping experience starting from the moment i stepped in, the girl at gate seemed mentally absent and didn't even bother to look at me when i asked if i could leave my shopping bags (asked her 3 times) at the security counter while I shop at their store, later took about 15 mins find help at the floor then they took about 20 mins to bring me the shoe i asked for!! Worth mentioning it was not even a busy day, the kids on floor are either undertrained or not paid well enough to keep them happy at work. Never stepping in this particular store again.
