The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, providing the perfect setting to enjoy an exceptional pint. ​The beer selection is nothing short of amazing, with a diverse and well-curated range of cans, bottles, and draft options from top breweries across Wales, the UK, and beyond. Whether you're after a hazy IPA, a deep imperial stout, or a tart sour, you are guaranteed to find something new and exciting. ​What truly elevates the experience is the owner's knowledgeable and passionate approach. Their expertise shines through in the owners recommendations and willingness to discuss the finer points of the brews, making you feel well-guided through the extensive choice. This level of service is a huge asset to the business. ​The only slight drawback noted was the condition of the toilet, which needs minor attention to bring it up to the high standard of the rest of the venue. A small investment here would easily earn Pop'n'Hops that final, elusive star. ​Overall, it's a superb spot that is highly recommended for its excellent beer and expert, friendly service.

   Clean and well organized record store with a very nice selection of rare used records. Many uncommon vintage records at reasonable prices, including punk, and early reggae. Knowledgeable, friendly owner. By far the best shop in Cardiff and arguably in the whole of Wales.

   Review for Pop'n'Hops: My wife and I recently visited Pop'n'Hops and had a truly brilliant time. The owner was incredibly welcoming and a pleasure to chat with. He was happy to help us navigate the great selection of beers on tap and even served them to us. This quirky bar on Whitchurch Road in Cardiff has a fantastic variety of craft beer styles, including IPAs, Stouts, Sours, and Lagers, so there's something for everyone. They also serve Welsh Rum and my wife was able to have wine. It's clear that the owner is passionate about what he does, and his friendly service made for a very memorable and welcoming experience. We'll definitely be back!

   Stopped off here on our way through Cardiff. Hadn’t been hoping for too much as it was only a quick visit, but walking in and seeing all those fridges — freshly stocked — we ended up staying longer and getting a few cans to take away too. It’s not often you see a shop look after the their stock so well, clearly proud of it. And when another person came in looking for recommendations, I could hear the owner absolutely knew what he was talking about. On draft was a great mix of styles, from breweries local and far. Very reasonably priced and served perfectly. Definitely worth more than a brief stop next time.

   Fantastic beer shop and bar. Excellent selection of bottles and some very interesting beers on tap. Quite a small place, but we'll worth a visit, and if you want a different Bottled beer than the normal, this is the place to go in Cardiff.
