Brilliant experience at leckwith. Special mention to Paige who was so patient and helpful. Pokémon release this morning was carnage but of no fault of the staff. Both Paige and a young lad on the tills were fair and easy to hold conversation with. I’m sure lots of people were disappointed with the situation but honestly can’t fault them. Transparent and fair.
Plenty of toys plenty of choice but staff don’t seem to actually like children which I find a bit off putting considering it’s a toy shop. Staff in general don’t smile or seem approachable and it’s constantly being re stocked during opening hours using machinery and equipment which is huge and virtually blocks the aisles - again something that isn’t child friendly. I think this could be a great toy store if it was more welcoming and friendly.
Would like to give a big thank you to Julia that helped myself & my family when it came to exchanging my baby granddaughters car seat as it was not suitable for my granddaughter… she removed the old one & fitted the new one of our choice & gave us the time to make sure that it was suitable & safe for my granddaughter. Julia was extremely helpful & we left feeling relieved that my granddaughter was now safely secured in a new car seat. Thank you for your help
The shop is generally good and staff are alright but the till situation is chaotic. Tip: Use the desk nearest the entrance if you need to return or exchange, otherwise use the individual tills (not the desk at the far end) or you'll get trapped in the store with your purchases. The only exit is from between those tills. Even at a relatively quiet time for early November it's still a highly stressful experience.
A total free for all at the till.staff allowing queue jumping ,games can't be found when they go to another room to put the game cartridge in, no staff available.. and the staff told me it was quiet that particular day.
Ever since Toys-R-us closed down this chain has been the must visit toy store for children. Love taking my daughter here, plenty to choose from and very competitive prices. Can get very busy in lead up to Christmas but this is expected. One area for improvement would be ensuring they have more tills open. Often long queues waiting to be served. They still have free catalogues which is a very traditional but nice touch.
Always great service here, everything in stock. Never to much trouble to order catalogue items from the counter. Clean, tidy and competently priced. 8th visit this year, starting to purchase Christmas presents for my children and we will be going back again and again. Keep up the good work!
